The Official Lanyard Thread

I've always admired that pattern in your pics and glad to know the name. I'll probably pick some up, but in my mind it will always be a bit of a signature look that you own.
Thanks for the kind words. My son turned me onto King Tut several years back. I've got it on quite a few knives, some for the second time--particularly the work users--as it does show the dirt. I'm on my second hank, after finishing off the partial that K gave me to begin with, and I noticed that it's getting kinda small now too.

With all the paracord I have--at least a couple dozen hanks--there's a handful of favorites that I keep coming back too. Moonstruck (which I often mistakenly refer to as Moonglow) and Vibrations...

...and of course, that which you've dubbed my "signature look", the ubiquitous King Tut.

It's called by a couple of names, double diamond or wide diamond, one thing it does, it creates a larger knot which you can anchor your finger around to draw your knife.

I just got this Delica 4 wharncliff blade and bought a Lynch short deep pocket carry clip, they make really nice clips! and I found that while you could still use the lanyard hole in the handle, it's not that handy, but the Lynch clip has a narrower end that helps to keep the lanyard in place and works great. When in the pocket the lanyard lays along side of the clip and makes it easy to access the knife.

here's one video that shows how to tie that wide diamond knot, it takes a bit of patience and practice...much practice ;)
