The Official Lanyard Thread

My first paracord lanyard. Thought it would look good on this knife. Is gonna be a user for work. So I guess it won't be green for long. Or I could buy a black knife and order another lanyard. 😁😁😁 Always looking for reasons aren't we ???? I should learn how to tie them myself, don't know if I have the patience.

Nice! You could learn to tie that from a few YouTube vids. Not really hard knots just hard to stay consistent on the tightness of each one. Beads are fun to look for. Gives you lots of colors and options if you learn to make them yourself.

New scales on my BMK 550 Grip and a new tail of green 550 cord (interesting coincidence) with two False Turks Heads (AKA Diamonds) surrounding another of the nice beads I got from our BF friend sonofwilfred sonofwilfred .

One of my favorite things about Wilkins scales--I now have 5 BMX sets--is the lanyard hole built into the butt spacer, a feature on numerous of my Russian knives and a few others. It keeps the tail centered, out of the way, and attached fully at the rear so it flops nicely when in pocket without having to ride up over the seam.

I just built this custom Victorinox 74mm Executive SAK (retired model and my favorite EDC model form decades now) with my own custom snake knot lanyard for Christmas present for my son.

I really like these rock pattern brass scales that I add extra patina with Birchwood Casey Brass Black.

I made the end of the lanyard loop thinner (wanted the thicker snake knots) by cutting the underside of the lanyard loop and removing some of the inner strings and resealing the fraying with a lighter so that the loop wasn't quite as thick as the rest of the lanyard.

Now I gotta make another one for me... HAH !
