The Official W&SS Neck Knife - Please reconfirm in the new sticky thread!!!!

Sounds cool but I would be more interested if they were going to have the "WSS" or "BF" logo.

Same here Mike. I'm actually hoping they take their time with this one and it comes around closer to income tax return time. Thats only about eight weeks away so I might be able to pseter my financial advisor (wife) enough to skim a little off the top. :p

Sucks being broke. I'm in the same boat. :grumpy:

I'm a little interested, as this might fit my kit well. I'm not much of a neck knife person personally, but I love smalled fixed blades.

I too am a little dissappointed there won't be any custom WSS_BF logo. Seems that having that etched on one side would be ultra simple.

Guys, we wanted a neck-sized knife that could handle bigger chores -- like skinning a mastodon, yet could function as a very basic bushcraft knife.

There are trademark issues with making it a "BF" marked blade, but we may be able to convince Dan to mark the initial run with "W&SS" just to make it fun. I will ask him, but cannot speak for him now out of turn. Please stay tuned. It depends on how much labor is involved.

Personally I'd like it more if it was a true flat grind rather than the saber it shows, Don't care for the handle scales look either and without the little bump before the edge, but I guess the "guard" could be ground away after I got one. Keeping an eye out for further details. Do you have details about the dimentions of the holes in the handle?

The more I look at it, the more I like it.
My most-used knives are in this general size/format and I don't find them lacking for much of anything.

Logo'd, or not, I will know where it came from. Personally, with a knife like that, the logo better be etched deeply or I will wear it off. I can see getting a lot of use out of that one.

I hope this goes through and hope even more I don't miss the sign-up thread!

Count me in... For what it's worth, my preference is for fewer logos and markings, not more... just an aesthetic thing, I'll know where it's from and so will you if it ever wound up on Exchange...

I may be interested. It seems like he's got a lot on his plate right now though so I'd imagine it would be well over a year before we could get any of these knives correct?

You can count me in on this one. Dan's 3V knives are really a treat. I have been looking for a knife to go with my Koster Survivor that is coming. I think I just found it. Where do I sign up?

I wonder why the "width" dimension of a knife is not normally given in mfg descriptions - It is of interest to me.

So, what is the width of the knife - edge to spine - at widest point?

Also, what is the cutting edge length?
Thanks
