Good, honest puukko. Should clean up nicely. Will take some work on that edge; definitely not a Scandi grind :)

Cleaning up pretty well. Wasn't as bad as it looked. Some dunce had at it a bit with a dremel wheel trying to sharpen it though. Most of that wasn't deep enough to really make a difference but there are still some bits on the edge and on the reverse that are deeper.
On the plus side, it does have some nice Karelian birch on it, and it seems like both the large and small blades were signed by the same person....:)

Pretty well indeed - those look great. From the photos, it is difficult to believe they aren't new. Nicely done. :thumbsup:
 
From the 1920's until I think into the 1950's the engraving of the Jarvenpaa knives was done by a woman named Elli Lindholm. Your puukkos look to have been done by her. They cleaned up very nicely too. John

Google Nordic or Scandinavian knives. Lots of online dealers sell blades, ferrules, birch bark,sheathes,etc. Build your own.

Thank you so much Rich, but I don't see myself with the ability or tools to build a knife!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
