Lovely, F Frederick89 !

I'll join with another maasepan puukko, this one by Pasi Hurttila. I've had it for almost two years, but I don't believe I've posted it here.

It came with a microbevel. I reground it on a Tormek and then followed up with stones to get a nice "flat over hollow" profile for wood carving.
Beautiful Pasi Maasepan‼️ Been wanting one of his Puukko’s for years.

Great puukko. I've seen some of Jelio's work on another thread - lovely. Can't seem to find cost on any of his sites. Probably beyond me anyway :-(
Keep the pics coming. Jari Liukko's work reminds me of the Helle Viking - like. I've got to find one I can post.

I suppose I should show off one of my recent acquisitions here.

My first of what I hope to be many puukkos. I've always admired puukkos and the few that I've held up to this point have always been comfortable in a variety of grips - which is important to me in a working knife.

A Tommi Mäkelä made puukko with a forged Saku Honkilahti blade, dressed up in Bog Oak, white coriander, and nickel silver. It took up permanent residence on my belt as soon as it got in.

Jelio’s pricing is very reasonable considering the product you receive. His knives are as nice and well built as anyone on BF or Instagram. Just shoot him a DM and he will be happy to build you a Puukko‼️

Heres one that isn't exactly a puukko but close enough....
an older Marttiini Lapinleuku, hardly 8" overall. This one is pretty much flat ground with small micro bevel. Its razor sharp.....Its got some nice wood on it too....

Sorry I don't have any pictures that show clearly a hanger. Try looking at sites like Ragweed or Thompsons; basically a loop attached near the top of the sheath to hang on belt. I you plan on putting it in a pack, etc. it's not needed.
Rich

Heres what the most common hangers look like.
A simple leather loop, this one has a slit in it to attach it to a suspender button

This one is more decorative, a series of rings linked together and a metal button hook. Most are nickel silver or brass.

Thanks so much Arathol. I'll see what I can come up with for mine.

tongueriver tongueriver - I really like everything about that package. The sheath in particular offers the best of carry options, to my way of thinking. I love that I could use a dangler or not. AND - knife and sheath are beauties!

I love those Tommi. I only have one. They are above my price level now:(
Rich
I don't know your price level, but you may try anyway to drop a line to both makers, since they're actually less expencive than the majority of Tommi makers.

Yes - I have a Tikkanen and it was very fairly priced. Henri can be emailed and he will reply in excellent English  - which I add because I can't at all reciprocate in Finnish, except with the help of Google Translate. :(
