The " Roosters " are crowing for the " Farmers"

A couple of California marked, specifically San Francisco. You don't see a lot of early California marked knives.
Both are pre and early 20th century hardware stores, with Dunham Carrigan and Hayden targeting mining supplies.

The Adolph Blaich Arrow Brand may be German or not ? and the DC&H I'm pretty sure is a NYK.

I've shown the Blaich ,but think this is the first time for the DC&H.

Is the Bar shield longer than most ? Or is the knife smaller ?
Well I got the wrong picture... The first CA knife

oooooohhhh! That's like some treasures brought up from the wreck of the 'Titanic' Trunk like Stag too!

A great visual treat for Christmas & New Year as well:)

Enjoy your Christmas in real peace Lyle, it'll be contented with the knives you've got:D

Thanks, Will

Great addition to your wonderful collection Lyle, fantastic old stag on that one!

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Jeff,
I like that bone too. That knife was supposedly in the Wester Brothers showroom, and it looks a little sun bleached, from being on display. Seems some of the dye on old bone knives didn't penetrate so well. Here's the pile side of the Wester Bros. and an old Ulster.:Wester Bros647.jpg

Thanks Mike and SK.
The Wester Bros., also made in Germany, is the only other manufactured brand of this pattern I know of with coined liners.

Just when you think it's safe to believe that superb has been reached in this thread, another one pops up like this and surpasses it :D

The bone is indeed interesting, almost stone-like in appearance:thumbsup: Now I begin to dream about pressed stag again....:D

Beautiful knives Lyle - just amazing!
The Bone on the bottom Farmers Jack - is that the Ulster? Is just gorgeous!

The Wester and the Ulster are fantastic. How you find such superb examples is amazing. Nice to know they are in good hands.

Sometimes insomnia pays off, picked up this Scrade Cut Co as a BIN that had just been listed the other night, what makes it very unusual and rare is it has a flat grind rooster comb secondary blade, most did not. Some blade loss and has been cleaned but still a very nice looking knife.
