The Snark Knight Returns

Best post of the day, or at least the smartest!

That's not sayin' much. We don't set the bar very high...

Sorry, I had to interpret an LGBTQ "safe zone" training today... 3 hours of "queer eye for the straight guy" and all it could make me think was "you guys have no idea how awesome real sex is!" But it kind of set the tone for today as "haterade"

Sex is like art. It's whatever you want it to be. And actually quite a few gay folk have had straight sex, sometimes many times. Whatever floats their boat I suppose. Don't affect me none.

OK, now I have a little to add. It's knife related, which kinda interrupts the flow of the (very) off-topic snark thread, but....there are pics, which this thread needs a few more of.

Finally getting around to finishing a kit bread knife that I've had for about a year . Scales are made of wood (duh!) - I don't know what species, it was in a grab bag of turning blanks at the Woodcraft. Might be bocote.....or not.

they're up to 600 grit, gotta get some 800 & 1200 tomorrow. I have 1500, for some reason lost to CRS:

The knife seems to be a halfway decent Japanese stainless. But it's a serrated bread knife....and I've heard not one complaint ever about how bread can really dull a knife. Last one:

Whatever it is, it's purdy. That would make some real nice grip inserts for my ruger double actions.

Weather was beautiful today. Suppose to be for the next few days as well.

We had a bit of rain and hail Wednesday night, but it's been pretty nice all week. I've not driven the Jeep to work in over a week.

I saw those storms roll through Indiana on the radar. Looked like you guys were getting hammered.

Bleh. Trying to hook up my xbox 360 to my tv with the component cables and the TV says there's no signal. I remember being able to just plug stuff in and it just worked.

Derp. Helps if I have light to see what I'm doing. Had the blue and the green cables switched.

Got everything hooked up so I'm gonna chill for a bit and watch Firefly. Where my brown coats at?

Woah a new thread, I guess I was away for a a little while.
I'm getting extremely tempting into making my own knife or knives....
So what's everyone up to?

I had a full day yesterday my oldest daughter had a special dance/awards ceremony at her high school
My youngest celebrated her fifteenth Birthday with us at Red Lobster and as per her request all gifts were in cash(we never pick the right thing)
And for the first time in 5 years they both put on dresses, the oldest loved it, the youngest said we will never get her in one again. But in all a good time.

Yeah there was a break about the time I normally head into work so I rode the bike in. It stormed again around 1 to 3 a.m. so the roads were still soaked on the way out.

That looks pretty good. We don't have a really good pizza place in town. They are all pretty mediocre. There used to be a drive inn here that was bought out by a couple guys from New Jersey. They made amazing New York style pizza, but ended up going out of business after a few years.

Eta. They don't cut the pizza for you??

It's a take-n-bake I got at walmart. Extra large for 9 bucks. Not bad but not great.

Gonna go have ta grab a couple papa murphy's pizzas. Haven't had PM's in a while and it's fantastic. Not the best I've ever had but darn good.

My belief is society is going gay, no one remembers the proper way to stick something in a hole and give it a twist! Everyone is trying to stick something where it doesn't belong, or even worse not stick it in at all!

Quote worthy.

Giggity.

I'm down for the sticking it in a hole and twisting. Or hell... even sticking it where it doesn't belong every now and again ;) As far as not sticking it in at all... is where I draw the line. You can't be a real man if you have no intentions of sticking it in. My parents rented one of the new Durango's while their car was in the shop. Just the fob and nowhere to stick it was kinda awkward. Push button start seems like a novelty that would lose its usefulness fast. I can just see it not starting for some reason and you would be sitting there jamming this button to no effect. Knowing my luck I would break that button and be stuck somewhere :D

Time for work!

One of my cats just conveniently left a mouse in the middle of my living room floor for me. I don't think we have had a mouse in a few years. There was a grass fire near me last night, so I'm guessing it migrated this way to get away from it. Its nice to know the cats have my back if the traps fail.

My wife is thinking about getting another cat soon. But its hard to pick a cat FOR catching mice. Half of them run from mice these days LOL, But if we decide to get one it will be a stray. There is literally hundreds of stray cats around here.. Last time we just let one in and he stayed for a few weeks before he disappeared again.

But our house is a row home, so many houses connected.... And anytime anyone on the sides of me brings in an exterminator we are forced to bring one in as well. They just push the mice further down the building is all.

Use to be the same with roaches when we first moved in. Id see the exterminator truck a few houses down and KNOW that means bugs and mice are headed our way. But we havent had issues with roaches in a couple years. I havent seen a single one in a couple years actually now that i think about it. It took a LOT of boric acid to keep them out though.

But 2 houses just got sprayed on this block 2 weeks ago or so and i have noticed a couple mice here and there lately. So we are thinking it might be time to adopt another cat. Neko has already caught 2 mice. I got 1 of them away from him in time... But he swallowed the other one. And l dont want him eating the mice here because they could have been poisoned already.....

Id rather he ate a cat HAHAHA :D

We have 4 cats. Two of them probably wouldn't touch a mouse. One likes to play with them and the other kills them. I'd prefer the killer to be the one that catches them. A while back the one that plays with them brought one into the bedroom and it got away from him. A day later the other one finally found it again and killed it.

Close call today. I thought I had lost my chicken foot. Turned up in the pocket of my wool jacket. It still works :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again... You are a sick, sick man.

Silver, get a multi-tool. or a knife and a multi-tool. If you use a knife as a screwdriver you WILL break it.
That said, I love me some S35VN so far...
