Happy mothers day to the mothers.. to the rest of you, call your moms, or if your like me and you dont have a relationship with your moms... Then call you dad!

I got an email from my biological mother a couple months back, she had tracked down my email, Not sure how really... I didnt email her back at first... I have some REAL strong negative emotions towards her, and with plenty good reason too... But i decided to email her back this morning.. Not for me.... But i hear she isnt real healthy, due to her own life choices... No telling how much longer she has, so I emailed her and let her know i forgive her.... Not sure how honest i was being though, but i felt like i should tell her that anyways.

LMAO, yea well my wife is very cool with stuff like that and her grandmother is pretty down to earth and laid back but i still wouldnt had said that if i knew she was in the middle of talking to her LOL

Here in Colorado we have a bunch of great dirt bike trails in the mountains. Last year a new trail was opened. A group of environmentalists were trying to stop it being opened. They tried a petition but it didn't work, it was still opened to dirt bikes. Last week someone put booby traps on several miles of the new trails. The forest service and the sheriff are investigating. Sure hope they catch they bastard. People could have been really hurt.

Here is a picture of one of the spike traps.

That is so god damn twisted, people are absolutely bonkers these days.
 
I think next year im going to sit outside by the side of the road with stuffed animals and flowers.

I took the kids to let them pick out something for momma and they picked a (1) flower and a stuffed animal with a coffee cup and some candy in the cup and 2 mothers day cards... It cost 35.

Im not complaining.... I think ill be out there beside them next year doing the same thing LMAO
 
That is fouled up Mauser. They had something similar in Southern Illinois a few years ago. People were caught and asses were kicked.
 
Wow, I take a couple of days of to work in the shop and you guys are already 13 pages in a new snark. Hadn't had time to read it all but it looks like I'm missin quite a party......... aside from that, gotta "whatcha think" question for you all. Besides the sheath and bone beaded lanyard I finished up a little hawk for Blade show today. I was really excited about the peice of wood I cut out for it. Turns out it does have awesome grain in on part but next to none in the bolster area. Dont know how I feel about it. Do I cut it off and try another piece? Just strikes me wrong.

Looks great to me!

I like how there is a lighter streak in the wood right through the "guard".

I wouldn't change it at all.
