Oh wow, you go Texas lol.
Texas Pete is going to have competition.

Also little fun fact about the Air Force, no matter what base or where you go there will ALWAYS be Texas Pete, I swear it's an unwritten rule.

I had never heard of Texas Pete before, had to look it up..

Texas Pete is a Louisiana-style hot sauce in the United States developed and manufactured by the TW Garner Food Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

North Carolina..?!? Get a rope..

Wait what, a hot sauce with the name of Texas, is a Louisiana hot sauce, made in North Carolina?!
What kind of sorcery is this!!!

Wow broken foot yesterday and today I'm in a dentist office. The crap usually rains down on you when you least expect it.

Mmmm Texas Pete. That's the only hot sauce I've ever liked.

What did you do now?!

Well my right side teeth have been aching on and off for a couple weeks. So it's finally time to get it looked at. Hopefully they'll yank out the offender so I am not in constant pain.

Life is so much fun. At least they have work for me tonight so I don't have to take another night off of work.

You're a walking hazard lol.

It's done! and OH LORD JEEBUS! I am actually looking forward to the drive tomorrow to snack on it! (I had to do quality control and YES!)

I thought I was the only one that uses Sriaccha on my jerky...
C Bear, You're a good guy that I could hang out with, I can tell just by the way you season your jerky :P.
So, you're saying you'd like to hang out cause you like the way I jerky my meat... o_O I'm not sure if I should be appreciative or scared...

Makes a helluva cup of joe.

DETAILS MAN! Granted appreciate the picture proving it happened, but WE NEED DETAILS!

Happy Thirstday everyone!
It's noon here! Happy thirstday! Care to join me with un biere?

My wife hides the croutons because she knows I'll eat them all like potato chips if I know where they are. I still haven't figured out where she stashes them... I'm beginning to think she keeps them at work :grumpy:
What kind of communist hides croutons?!? For the love of pete those things are right below bacon on the daily food pyramid requirement!

Every time I start to do that, I run out of patience and just have WildCat (fancy people call it steak tartar) instead.
I understand! I've only had steak tartare once and while it was good, I much prefer waiting for the jerky! However actually WAITING for the jerky is damn near impossible when you know it's going!

The best kind of sorcery? Although I've never had a Texas Pete's hot sauce, and I kind of stick to Green Tabasco, Chipotle Cholua, and Sriaccha.

I figured, actually most of the folks here are pretty like minded in lots of things. Food being at least one of them, and spice in particular seems to be on a pretty even keel. There are a few outliers that will skew the median but for the most part...

It turned out like a spicy pepperoni almost. It's really yummy!

You should mail me a piece lol!
And it seems to be true, I guess beckerheads are all cool people with similar likes.

I like texas pete alright enough. I prefer the Louisiana brand Louisiana hot sauce though. I also like Red Hot. And Dave's Insanity.

I like taking either Louisianan or Frank's Red Hot and adding a little bit of insanity to the the bottle to increases the heat a little. Insanity is too hot by itself to really use a lot on foods, and the other 2 taste excellently but are not quite hot enough. A little mix makes either perfect for me.

But Texas Pete's pepper sauce... The one with the little green or yellow peppers in the bottle with vinegar, is GREAT on collard greens.

I tried to like the sriracha... and its OK on noodles i guess, but it and Cholula hot sauce are more what i consider food specific sauces. Sriracha on asian foods is good and cholula on tacos and burritos... Otherwise to me those 2 over power the flavors in the food. Not meaning they are too hot, just their flavors are so different it clashes with the meal.

Ill take my flaming now :D
