So I finally got my remora that I told myself I would buy abouttt....a year ago? No idea why it took me so long to spend 20 bucks when I have bought 5X as expensive knives in the mean time haha. Got some ideas about getting G10 'slabs' made for it by mrn8 as I think it would make it one comfy as hell to use pocket scalpel. It's amazing how many things you can do with a tiny knife.

oh yeah? Well I'm wearing a BK9 in a shoulder ''holster'' rig around the house. So there.

I love tracking inbound packages that I'm really looking forward to. How they depart one location then nothing for six days. Then they lay around at another location for twenty hours. Another departure scan and nothing for two more days. Sometimes they actually pass Barlow twice crisscrossing the country on the grand tour. I'm just waiting to see "Arrival scan: 12:38PM Disney World"...

I'm still alive and kicking, just swamped and suffering from a bad case of janky connection.

Or possibly, I'm living in the gutter because I also discovered that iced tea vodka Boosh showed, and I'm typing this from an internet cafe with time bought with panhandled money. :D

but, really it's just the busy busy.

Big River has an intricate system of pack mules that criss-cross the country. Don't question their methods. Those mules deliver.

i esp love watching it in realtime, with the shipper on the phone, for an "overnite, morning delivery, critical thingy" and ... "delivery exception" happens.

"customer not home or business not open"

wtf?

that's [fedex] code for "we screwed up, but you can't prove it"

except the shipper is "JUST IMPORTANT ENOUGH" to be able to call the right executive, and after some more time goes by, track and find the driver by GPS, and call his cell phone and say "the customer has been standing by his front door for 20 minutes, and you never went by, so, you will RIGHT NOW goto him and deliver the package, you will not play golf or whatever it is you are doing, and you WILL be there in 30 minutes or less..."

vrooom. 29 minutes, fedex truck pulls up. usually my delivery guys are chatty and friendly. this guy looks like someone one day shipped something up his butt.

sign. got my stuff. no commentary. no apology. nothing.

got my stuff, but only 1.5 hours late. thanks!
