Today wasnt the best day ever but coming home to see my slightly (yeah right) drunk parents cleaning up piles of very, Very, VERY smelly dog crap just about made me piss my pants in laughter...I'm pretty sure the commentary that my dad was giving would make anybody laugh. No joke. Not such a bad day after all.

He may just have said, that I should have said something, and he would have met me somewhere. hell, I don't remember now, tbh.
 
The worst part about being a manager at a Southern BBQ restaurant in Southern California? The 2-3 times a shift I have to deal with this exact dialogue:

"Excuse me, sir? This meat isn't cooked! See? It's all pink!!!"

"Ma'am, that is actually a side effect of the hickory smoke the we use to slow cook all of our meat. I promise you all of our meat is smoked for 10-15 hours and temped as it leaves the smoker to cool. Is this dish going to be okay for you? I'd be happy to set you up with something else from our menu?"

"It's just...It's pink! Is that normal!?!?"

There's no way this happens at BBQ restaurants in the South...
 
Visited mom at the nursing home last night. One of the nurses asked me if I missed my ex-wife. I told her "Yeah, but I think my scope was off".

Tell them it's a natural coloring added to the tofu, but you'd be happy to substitute a salad if they're unhappy with the idea of eating something that resembles real meat.

finally drank the kool-aid. Just ordered some micarta for full-size Beckers. I still say ~46 bucks is really kinda steep for scales on a -90 dollar knife.

I just wanted to test them further..see if they are magically worth it. I used them at Ethan's but not to any extent. They look nice if nothing else.

I feel they're too expensive as well, but, doesn't matter, I prefer the grivory over the micarta anyways. The micarta didn't do anything for me at all.

I like the grivory pretty well too, or wood. I just figured I would try it out, I like testing stuff out. I am debating letting my bro have my 5 too, so the 15/5 set aint broken up...the micarta would dress it up nice, because those FAL'er scales will NOT be going with the 5 LOL
 
Anyone else still waiting with bated breath on the ''Beckerhead Special'' Tooj mentioned awhile back? I know a certain Ogre who is.


also, how long does Tomar's usually take to ship? I am SPOILED by the River's Prime....and I usually pay the extra couple of bucks for the one-day shipping LOL

Speaking of Prime shipping, I have a rear pistol grip coming in tomorrow for my 50$ Mossberg, I already had the front pistol grip from another shotgun project a few years ago. I shoulda ordered a SideSaddle too.

I kinda agree, but think of it this way: soon it will be a $136 knife. :D
