The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Was that a Malibu station wagon on the first picture. That's pretty sweet wagon either way. My dad has a 64 Malibu 2d. It has SS badges but I don't think their original. Its also been parked for 30 years.

That's a early 60's Ford Country Squire.
Dude! Get that 64 Malibu if you can! Their still one of the coolest early sixties muscle cars that Chevy made. That was right before they started getting really heavy.

Hahaha I guess my dumb ass couldn't see the huge FORD badge on the front lmao. I like older cars just don't got much knowledge of them. Yea I begging my dad for 20 years to help me get it going for both of us. He always gives me some project to do and says if we can get a few more things done around here we will. My next one is to build a feed/poison room in our barn to keep his grandkids out off the nasty stuff. I think its his way of getting free labor. (That he gets anyways)

Now that the snow is pretty much gone I can work on all the new machines. The 2 big 2-stagers paid for themselves, the brand new single stage, all expenses, and 1/4 of the truck side plow setup all in one storm. Tapatalk has been screwed up on my phone lately so I haven't been on much. We got NAILED here in NJ with that storm

Ive been really considering the 2017 ford raptor. I'm probably going to wait a few months after their release for some people to get some real life reviews out before i commit. also, depending on the actual cost, i don't want to pay much for than 45k$.

They're going to start at $50 from what I understand.

Jealous! That is my dream truck.

I just read that the 2017 is going to have an intercooled, 3.5L twin turbo, that will make more power than the old 6.2 V8.

Eco boost is going in everything now. Great motor so far. Still can't beat the sound of a V8 though, unless it's a V10 [emoji57]

I have mentioned before, but the wife and i share a car and I bike mostly (when we dont have 36") But i have been trolling for a while for an old pickup and the above would be perfect! Love the look, maybe swap the red for some forest green or something if we were getting picky!

yeah, the ecoboost has me slightly skeptical which is while i'll be waiting. I figure it would be cheaper to just get the raptor than continue to dump money into my tacoma trying to make it comparable.

that old ford is a beaut, if i could get my hands on a pristine 87 ram in blue, id be happier than a pig in stuff...

I'd like to get a nice fat tire bike, the last time i spent good money on a bike it was my parents and they got me a dyno air for my bday, so i could be the next dave mira.

I ride an Intense Carbine 29. And I love the ecoboost. I miss the sounds a the v8, but there is something about driving the mountain roads in silence is cool.

One of these would be great as a backup vehicle. The only issue is that the shortbeds and Blazers are getting hard to find because everyone seems to want them. I've been half tempted to look for a 4x4 long bed because the prices aren't horrible and this particular body style ended in 72 so they're all smog legal.
I wish I was old enough to have bought my grandpas old Blazer. That thing handled nearly everything thrown at it in Colorado plus it pulled out it's fair share of over-lifted trucks that got in over their head. It looked exactly like this one but my family isn't 100% sure if this is it or not.

Everything was exactly the same down to the cop spot light that my grandpa borrowed off of his old police cruiser.

I'm a Chevy guy but the Raptor is just a badass truck! It would be cool to see how the Ecoboost works out of they choose to use it. It's one heck of a motor that puts out great horsepower and torque numbers. I wish Chevy and Ford would come out with a smaller lightweight turbo diesel for their 1/2 ton trucks though.

1/2 turbo diesel would be awesome. i have also considered the v8 cummins in the nissan titan.

I might sit back and just learn. I have wanted a truck for about 4 yrs now, and waffle between something old that I can work on or a shiny new penny (the colorado/canyon models sorta have my eye) just can't ever make up the mind though...
That blazer looks awesome standard!
