The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

I might sit back and just learn. I have wanted a truck for about 4 yrs now, and waffle between something old that I can work on or a shiny new penny (the colorado/canyon models sorta have my eye) just can't ever make up the mind though...
That blazer looks awesome standard!

That's a hard decision because that Colorado and Canyon are nice! They really did a nice job with upgrading that model.

I haven't heard a lot of good things about the titan, but that was the gasser. I think the Dodge eco diesel would be cool to look into.

I know 2 guys that own titans and they love them, but the only interest i have would be the diesel and ill be waiting for feedback. that dodge eco diesel is interesting but too small for me. DEF has ruined diesels.

Yeah I would love a new powerstroke, but I don't have a need for a heavy truck like that. I do know a guy who just traded in his ecoboost for a new titan, he loves his too. I liked them fir a while, it just seems they start getting "loose" like steering and suspension.

Ford should bring back the F100. Make it between the size of the ranger and the F150 with a small, high output turbo diesel and a badass offroad package. There could be standard ecoboost v6 and the 5L v8 too. Im thinking like the old dodge dakota in size. They'de outsell the F150

The guys i know wouldn't know if their suspension or steering was loose seeing how high they've lifted them, lol.

that would be something sweet riz.

Same here. The two friends that have a Titan can't stand them. The stock suspension is squishy and they always complain about horrible gas mileage. They're both early model pickups so maybe Nissan fixed the issues.

That would sell like crazy out here! Full size pickups are great, but not everyone needs a big truck. I like your idea.

would love this too, the "small" modern trucks aren't really all that small and more competition in the market will make them all better!

No kidding. I sat in a new Colorado last year and it was almost the same size as my old 2003 Silverado. I wish the made a single cab longbed because that would be a great work truck.

I also came up with this borderline crazy idea of turning a 4x4 E-150 into a mini camper of sorts.... probably just crazy talk, but would be fun.

Its not as hard as you'd think. I worked on RVs for several years. I converted 30 and 40 foot shells into Mobil internet hubs for a few colleges across Texas. It was basically so high school kids could go in and check out colleges they were interested in attending. I also helped an old neighbor convert an old pull behind trailer. We stripped it completely and built it the way he wanted.

I would go with a bit bigger van though. Imagine all the extra weight that things gonna hold. :) I know you'll have a shrine to your 3v goodness.

That's a great idea Redwood! I drive a 2004 Sprinter and love being able to have everything under one roof.

That sounds like a lot of fun! and you are probably right on wanting/needing something bigger...too many project ideas too little time!
