The ultimate kit is coming...

wow, this pack is definitely at the top of my list of stuff to buy! so there is still the option of either the rc-5 or rc-6? i would like the 5 more if there was no hole in the scales, supposedly for a fire drill. doesn't a fire drill hole have to have a way to fuel itself, like a notch cut-out on one side? anyways, i love the pack idea, and i would love the rc-5 even better if it just had a plain handle (sans fire drill hole).

The "fire drill" is for holding the non fire producing end of the drill....it is so you can apply downward pressure to create the fire.

Does the kydex sheath in this kit fit both knives, or is it sized for whatever knife you get with it? If I have both knives, will one kit fit both, for a choice of carry?

Very nice looking pack!!

Wish this was a sticky hate having to scroll around looking for it so I can drool...
now I have to wait another month to get my new knife:(

As an Australian I couldn't care less where it is made. And since when does making it in the USA make it better anyway?

Because if you manufacture things in your own country it means a job for someone and that helps the economy. I am sure you would rather buy something made in australia than from some slave wage labor in China.

Considering that I just got laid-off because my employer can save a few dollars by moving the entire operation outside the country...
I would have to say that is very well stated.

BTW DELL SUCKS!

Glad you said that Nec (not that it's good that you got axed), I need a new computer and was about to pull the trigger on a Dell.

I'd pull a trigger on a Dell.... but glass shards hurt.

Sidenote: A lot of folks are willing to pay know for US made goods, Knowing the money isn't bleeding out of the country. I even enjoy buying knives by local manufactures for this reason. I even take it a step further, and am willing to pay more for Union-made goods. If we all do all our shopping at walmart, sure everything's cheap...but then all the jobs are gone, and we're all too broke anyways. That cycle has to break somewhere, and it sure isnt going to be walmart paying their employees a living wage. So hopefully me buying up creates jobs for them to leave that hole, and have a better life, and then they buy better stuff from my company, and I have a better life. That's the theory anyways.
