The Undauntable Cattle Knife

Nice ones, Charlie N! How long is that Pocketeze, please??

Dave and Gev, those knives are all original, and all the same pattern.
The Baers bought out Ulster, as you may know. Knives were cross-pollinated between the factories for a time. These appear to originate from the same tooling, and supplied both brands. The only differences, are the lined bolsters on the Schrades, and the tang stamps, including two different Ulster stamps.
I was just foolin' around!

Charlie, that 419 PocketEze is 4". That knife has a very atypical punch. It is sharpened like a stiletto or dagger.

The little 111 with the rubber-like handle is 3 1/4". I've seen that knife with Rogers bone handles and a PocketEze shield before, but wasn't able to obtain the knife.

Well now don't I feel foolish! :o

Here's one I just got today. Sword brand, junior size, composite handles, great walk & talk.

Folk seem to be on a Robeson thing so I will add a couple:

Brad, you're lucky I don't have that one . . . you might be whistlin' in the wind! ;)

But seriously, I hope you get 'er back. She's a peach.

Thanks Charlie, for answering my question! At 4" that Pocketeze is a nice, big knife!
It's a sad state of affairs that people will steal knives, Brad. Beats me how they could ever enjoy them! A person would have to be pretty poor in spirit!

Great knives. Lots of beautiful bone and stag scales. This looks to be a similar pattern although Wostenholm named it a Farmer's knife.

This is the top knife I believe!! A great little worker, and seems like the sheepsfoot is the master blade, the clip seems to open backwards.

The others are the clip bladed colonial, unsharpened Pal Spear point (no edge from factory- yet), and GEC Cattle King in looking glass Black lip mother of pearl- great camping knife!!

Few that I don't have in my possession anymore but worth showing

Mike

Mike- the top Ward is no longer with me either, passed along to another fine member here, and ground as a wharncliffe cattle knife now.

I've added a few new knives to my picture collection- thanks all!!

I really like the Blish-Mize, Mike!!

The last one is a Schrade Cut Co, right? And..I can't quite tell the maker on the first one.

Top one is Wards, mid is Blish-Mize-Silliman (interesting blades combination) Bottom is Schrade walden #856

Thanks, Mike

C'mon Brad! Show us more of your great Cattle collection!

Here is a small herd. A Junior DE, never used, but abused somewhat. :( Possibly from a damp or seaside climate.
Then, three full-sized, stalwart Case XXs. The bottom true Redbone is my Fave!!

Being from St. Louis, Charlie, I'm very partial to that DE jr. Beautiful knife!

Glad you like it, Jeff!
Thanks Gev and Perry!

Nice old pair, Austin! That Schmidtberg reminds me of a Cline-Stewart I used to own. Maybe Brad has that one now????
