I prefer sawcut or smooth bone on a barlow. Though soup bone would be quite nice too! A nice smooth wood would be fine, as well. So, I guess I’m a bit wishy-washy thus far. What I do have a solid opinion on, however, is square ends! The end should be finished square, with beveled edges. Rounded barlows just look strange to me.

I've not had 100% good luck on GEC's dyed red bone in general but I have yet to receive a poor example of their red sawcut (still missing that Cranberry TC...).

I can do all steel, long pull, or whatever but just wanted to throw out some visuals since this is still the discussion phase.
I think we can mostly agree that certain materials are probably not appropriate for this pattern. I'll focus on smooth/sawcut bones/woods for now.

Don’t everyone roast me at once...but I’m not a fan of the current nailnick.
I'll work on a long pull version if @waynorth can confirm that it is an option. I've missed a lot of the recent posts and not sure if all options are on the table or what. I assumed, much like with the 2019 BF knife, that the main options were set and we just needed to pick the material.
