I'll work on a long pull version if @waynorth can confirm that it is an option. I've missed a lot of the recent posts and not sure if all options are on the table or what. I assumed, much like with the 2019 BF knife, that the main options were set and we just needed to pick the material.

Oh don’t feel like you have too. I’m just participating in the conversation. I guess I don’t care which nailnick, but I don’t like the placement of the crescent on the mockup. No disrespect to you.
Thank you for taking the time for mockups. It really just solidifies how much I like the red soupbone covers. I wonder what other models have been done in it.

I’m a big fan of the nail nick placement on the 86 clip.

Team Walnut! Just to show more variety in color than the last samples I posted :D:thumbsup:

“That’s a good looking knife you got there!”

“Thanks! It’s my 2021 Bladforums #86 Barlow in Black Walnut Crotch Wood.” o_O :D

I will that we get a knife we can live with!!;) I will that we collectively choose the handles, since everything else has been chosen for us!!
I just thought of one more thing - i think we can choose the finish!!
(I K, I K, another can of worms!!)

Polished bolsters, satin blade.

Red Soupbone would be great if available in the needed quantity. Sawcut Bone, and smooth wood are also pictures in my head of traditional Barlow Knives.

If a Smooth [insert color here] Bone is chosen - as well as smooth wood - here's hoping the covers will be flat, and the butt end squared.

Thank you for the mock-ups Darren @waverave .

The red soup bone looks wonderful in the mockups but in reality can everyone be accepting of the fact that they may end up with one, or two, that will be a lighter variant? As this has been the case before. I can live with that. I can certainly live with white bone as well, and possibly more consistent. Opposite ends of the spectrum but both work for me.

Well then, we may as well clear it up now...DARK red soupbone. Lol. ;) Haha

Oh my Lord!

I have never seen a light Soupbone Andrew NewBlades16 NewBlades16 . They are all very rich and dark. I am sure Charlie can make sure they dye ours the same way. They do vary in the amount of character marks, but even there they all look great.

We do know that undyed bone is going to yellow. Some people like that look, but it does not appeal to many others.

BTW, I would love to buy your Red Soup Bone TC if you do not like it @Camillus! I think it looks great. Glad you have one. I hope the rest of us get a chance.

Soup bone would be awesome. I honestly don’t think anything can be bad with this pattern though. Wood bone micarta it doesn’t matter it is going to be an instant classic. Really looking forward to this one.
