A big thank you to everyone getting this done so far! I have really treasured my 2020 knife. Though it's not in my pocket every day, I have really come to appreciate it both as a tool, but also as a reminder of all the knowledge that I have been able to glean off of reading through these forums!

It would be sweet to get a GEC these days without having to fight for a drop, and if it's for the forum, then that's even better!

These look a lot like the Bunny Knives except they are Barlows . Clip & Pen Blades and Curved handles in Ox and Rams Horn and Stainless but no Tweezers .

.
The GEC 74 more closely fits the Curve and shape than the 93 but I would be very happy with either one .
Maybe GEC should just make a 74 Barlow ????

Sorry, i stuffed up the previous post.. Thought you might like to see this as a comparison to your excellent knives. You can judge the similarities. These were made for a collectors club over here.:).

I went into a local camping store during the week with the intention of finding and photographing a bunny knife for these forums. I was horrified by what they had in the display cabinet! Too many GECs and Queens have distorted my idea of quality control! Well below the standard of knives I saw when I was lucky enough to visit the Sheffield knife store in 2018.

Anyway, with that plan foiled, can I please ask someone to photograph a traditional bunny knife alongside some comparable GEC patterns like the 15, 93 and 74? It would be interesting to know how they compare.

I know what you mean...rarely do I see anything other than Taylor Schrades or Chinese Bucks....Muelas and commercial quality butchers knives( booorrrinnng) ....not what Im after and too pricey generally...Case is rarer than the Thylacine and GEC rarer than that.! I found a Bear and Sons in a gunshop at Booroowa* once....he had Case as well.....add the fuel bill to Booroowa and its just as well we have online stores**.
Theres a leather shop at Cobargo down the road....or at least there was before half the town got burned away...she had quite reasonably priced A .Wrights...I bought a Maserin dunno about bunny knives though...

* pronounced as if someone from the north of England is talking about a creature that burrows....boora wa.

**and online maritime saga writers.

Camillus Camillus the only 2 knives I've ever purchased from actual shops in this country!

The old rural hardware stores are a treasure Meako! Just think how many bunny knives have passed over their counters over the years.

Here is a maritime knife to whet your appetite.

...and how cool would it be if GEC were to produce a bunny knife in something like this bone?

The "bunny styles" are a Bexfield Sheffield and a Sabre Japan.(ok ok I remember now ...got that one in a hock shop up The Cross after visiting a very sick mate in St Vincents...hes kind of ok now.
But there y have 74s and a 15...

Latest report!! Bill wouldn't mention a pattern, but thinks he can produce a knife for us in the Fall!!
I had to stay calm!! Yahoo!!!!! was my only thought!:D
He has about 4 knives/runs coming up so far this year, and was not about to give me any spoiler alerts, but thinks he can include us in one of the later ones. He likes our Jackrabbit idea for a knife, but no commitment exists yet, so we are still up in the air for a pattern; but it looks like a good chance we will get a GEC knife this year!!
Stay tuned!!;)
Great to hear!

I am also pretty stoked that a GEC may be available this year.

The Buck we snagged a couple years ago was pretty nice too. I have not performed the much needed thinning of the edge grind yet.

I hope Buck can become a potential supplier for a forum knife again in the future. The 301 is a beautiful knife.

I was hoping a Buck 119 or 124 maybe myself. I still think we need a classic fixed blade one year, you know, for balance.
Right now you can outfit out a 119 with S30V steel and Elk handle on the Buck website. Would make a great pairing for the forum knife IMHO.

As much as I'd love to see a F.B. get serious consideration, it never seems to gain much traction. Sad for a Traditional and Fixed blade forum...
