I determined that I prefer the JK Handmade subforum over the rest of the forum haha. I find myself checking here often for any new posts.

i stopped by the local Goodwill tonight, as i do every few months. picked up a Winchester pocket knife (think Buck 110 style). not too exciting as it is a "Stainless China" but only $5 so figured "what the heck". i also got a solid knife block for $3. it had wider slots, which i have been looking for. i got a for real guyoto from chefknivestogo a while ago, but it was too "tall" for my block (love the knife by the way). it finally has a home.

I will be "out of the office" all day Saturday and Sunday. If anyone emails me I will email back in the evenings, unless I have time on my lunch breaks. No phones are allowed in class.
 
ethan finally decided that he would like to try fly fishing. sure picked a good night for it....

You shouldn't have to jump through the hoops, but it's a small price to pay for the ability to protect yourself an/or your family when you are away from home.
I have to turn in a questionnaire next Wednesday, then they'll do a background check and send me my license.
Because I am renewing in the 90 day window after my last carry license expired I don't have to be finger printed again, but do have to pay 10 dollars more for a late renewal.:rolleyes:

I got my LCR yesterday also BTW.
Gonna go torture my hand later today.

If I'm not mistaken it's either knife making or concealed carry.(probably concealed carry ;))

Stopped by the nearest Gander Mtn today and I was shocked to see rimfire ammo on the shelves. There wasn't a great quantity or variety but still a vast improvement over the past several months.
