Watch out locking the rear axle. The Dana 35 is known for snapping axle shafts once its locked up.
im eventually going to get a Ford 8.8 to put under the rear. Its the same width as the Dana 35 but with disc brakes and bigger axle shafts.
The lift I have is about 5"-6" sitting on 35" tires. I can almost put one tire waist high with other still on the ground.

Nice! Jeeps are coming back into popularity around my area - at work there are 5 or 6 that all park together now - and for the SOS Car Show in Sept, we added Jeep classes for the first time ever.

I hope we see some like yours at the show!

it was bright and sunny an hour ago - the excess humidity is coming down hard and fast at the moment.
so much for mowing the walking/jogging trails out in the pasture today.

Speaking of rain, Houston just 2 weeks ago. Today it is pouring again and I hear a tropical storm is brewing in the Gulf.

Congrats on finally going red, John.

I guess now we'll have to behave.
'Bout dang time!
The thing I like about this little corner of BF is the lack of a need for moderatin', but it's good that John can take care of things in his house, himself, if needed.

I went camping yesterday and was in a rush to hit the woods so I forgot my sleeping bag and my cold weather gear(M-65 field pants with liner and new heavy winter coat) and temps were in the forties last night.Brrrrr.(I only woke up once shivering.)
Then I went to make coffee and my propane stove didn't want to work so I had to boil water on the fire!
Oh the horror!(dish soap on the pot before putting it in the flames does keep the soot from sticking BTW)
All in all it was a great trip though.I hadn't done an overnighter in over a year.
Watched a forked horn buck amble by camp yesterday evening too.Very cool.

Sounds like a good trip:thumbup: We camped Saturday night, humidity and temperature were higher than normal. I had to have a couple drinks by the fire to help me rest;)

I feel your pain. I sit here at work and the sun shines all day long until 5 pm.
Then it rains from 5 until dark every day!

Im going stir crazy to get out and do some work around my house.

sounds like a great camping trip Myke. i am camping this weekend (taking a long one). meeting up with some friends. just car-camping, but really looking forward to it.

Ground out 9 blanks for the upcoming sale, will grind bevels tomorrow, then heat treat. I'm gambling on the success of these sales, orders are slow coming in, so the sales will be crucial to the future of JK Knives. Looks like I'll be keeping my night job.

The Boss has got some talent, here are a couple of candy arrangements she made. She even makes the bows. She is planning on getting a table at our little Saturday Open Air Market to try to sell some of these.

4th of July

This one would work for any special occasion.

Connie is off work tomorrow and Friday. On Friday she is helping Becky with her garage sale, but she asked me if we can go to the shooting range tomorrow. I`ve got an awesome wife!

A woman who not only understands our love of firearms but shares the same interest is a blessing. You're a very lucky man, so am I.
