The "Whatever" Thread

First non-JK knife purchase in quite some time. Very happy with it so far.

Went to the range today only to find out they were closed for repairs (again). I asked when they would be open, they had no clue. Went home and went online to search ranges in our area. Found a members only range in Kankakee. $100 a year ($150 with spouse), for unlimited visits. Heated and air conditioned. I'm going to join.

That's one thing I kinda like about living here in Vegas. I just head out to the desert and set up my own targets, no idiots to deal with and no range fees.[emoji2] [emoji106]

That's how it used to be here, just go to a farm and ask to shoot. Too much building here now.

What I like about this range is you call the day before (or week before or whatever), and tell them what time you want to use the range and they hold spots for you. The range I go to now if you are not waiting before they open, you don't get in for at least an hour, maybe longer. Connie also joined, it was $150 for both of us for a year, after that it's $100 a year for both of us.

We have a new indoor range in town that I'm thinking about joining. It's $200 a year. Still trying to decide if it's worth it. Plenty of places out in the country here to just set up and shoot.

We are getting a gun shop and range on the outskirts of town sometime in 2017. Range costs are going to be $25 an hour!

I guess I'm lucky that the NFS has a public range about 15 minutes from my house. Benches set up for 25, 50, and 100 yards. Overall pretty nice when it's not crowded.

Nice price.

The Range at 355 should be opening any day now. https://www.facebook.com/The-Range-at-355-791205340970379/

I imagine it'll be pricey and booked solid at first.

I'd hoped to get to that outdoor range in Sycamore this week but work took up more of my time than I thought it would.

Our public range is like that with a handgun range also. Its kinda crazy though because its connected to the parish prison. There are sheriff deputies there to assist shooters and offer advice and stuff.

I want to go to a shotgun range one day with multiple disc 'thowers'.
Anyone been to something like that?

I was on the skeet team in high school. Lettered in it. 😀 Our matches were on these type ranges. It was great fun. Also where I learned to reload ammo. Good times.
