I'm going to be leaving for Indiana around 10 tomorrow morning.

Safe travels in this weather. Looks like the snow is going to miss my house but I do have to drive to Michigan on Friday. Hopefully the roads are clear by then.

Connie surprised me when I picked her up from work. She was doing pricing today and they were doing clearance items. She got me a nice heavy duty canvas and leather backpack for $10.98 and 4 stocking caps for $1.49 each.

I went in yesterday to take my entrance test for the operating engineers union, felt like I did pretty well not just to wait 2-5 weeks to hear back.

It missed me. I'm just northwest of John and apparently was at the western edge of the storm. It threatened and we got a dusting of snow but nothing to write home about.

We got about 2" here. By my daughter in Indiana it's about 14".

No snow here, thankfully. I have a class this weekend (they talked me into it, I hate winter classes since we shoot outdoors) but it looks like it'll be in the mid 60's on Sunday when we hit the range.

With any luck we'll get all 12 people qualified and I will get to fire my new Colt a few times....

they closed the schools due to wind? i don't think i've heard of that one before.

They close schools in our parish for the slightest hint of bad weather.
Its crazy too because every day that schools are closed, they have to make up for it at the end of year.

My wife is a 7th grade English teacher and she gets pretty pissed at the end of year when they have another week or two of school when every other parish is already out.
