The "Whatever" Thread

Heading over to my retirement ceremony from the Army Reserves. This will be a bit of a change as I've spent the better part of the last 30 years wearing the uniform either on Active Duty or as a Reservist. Tough to hang it up when there is still so much to do.

Thanks to John and all of you in this group. I don't post much but have enjoyed reading your posts over past few years.

In the 7 or 8 years I've had this forum I don't remember it ever being as dead as it's been the last month or so. It's getting that I'm starting to feel like it's silly to start new topics, mine are not interesting enough. I'm trying to keep it interesting, but don't think it's working, so I'm going to sit back and see if anyone else has any ideas for topics. It seems like a lot of my older members have moved on to other interests.

I'm still around and enjoy this forum. Just busy as can be with the new gig. Sitting at the academy today doing EVO. It's pretty wild and a lot of fun if you like to drive fast and take some wild turns.

I'm a relative new guy and enjoy it here I just don't post that often really anywhere in the forums. Also not to make excuses but this is a very busy time of the year for me.

30 years?

Congrats on the retirement Blair!

How'd the girls do?

We have broken a few high temp records up here in the past few weeks.
Me thinks it's going to be a long hot summer....

We had a good time at the festival, not as crowded as we expected and the weather better than forecast. One of the vendors asked if it was okay to give our two year old a piece of chocolate. We said sure and the look on his face when Thomas said "thank you" was total disbelief. He motioned us closer and told us that our son was the only child who had said thank you.

That's a sad commentary on the raising of the youth today.
Good on you and the wife for doing it right.

SCHUCKS! I started a topic here once and got eaten alive for my lack of PC. Even got an official infraction by Esav Benyamin!

Perhaps I should not start any more!

Start 'em, you'll get one right eventually.;)

Oh and PC sucks!

I started a topic once in another part of BF and really stirred up a hornets nest (wasn't my intention) since then I really scaled back on posting

Sounds like you and Pam are doing a great job raising your son right.
