The "Whatever" Thread

Just returned home last night from an awesome trip to Maine. The hike to the summit of Katahdin was the main reason for the trip, but we spent some time in the Adirondacks and Acadia as well.

Well only 4 weeks left in the law enforcement academy. I'm ready to be done and home full time again. Hope everyone is having a great weekend

I have spent quite some time in Baxter, Acadia, hiked Kitahdin and a few others.
Great area!

What routes did you ascend/descend?

How many states is that under your belt?

Wow. That's awesome!

Now, just to hike down to the other end of the App. Trail...

That's a big dream of mine, one day hike the app. trail. The whole she-bang.

That finishes up all the highpoints East of the Mississippi that require hiking (our criteria is at least 3 hours car to car). I only have Rainier and Hood completed West of the Mississippi, so still LOTS of trips to go!

We went up the Hunt Trail and down the Abol. Next trip I'd like to hike the Knife Edge.

We shared the trail with more than a dozen through hikers and vicariously enjoyed one couple's finish at the summit. I believe they spent 5+ months on the trail! That's LOTS of ramen and tuna fish. :)

I heard that! But at least every time you eat ramen and tuna after the hike it will always bring back those memories.
