The "Whatever" Thread

Or I could post about my "secret project."

Sounds like something we need to hear more about.

I haven't been posting much this week because I've been recovering from outpatient surgery I had Tuesday. It's nothing serious but just sitting around the house is driving me crazy.

Heal up soon bud, hope it was all taken care of the first time around.

Thanks for the well wishes. I had a few pieces of bone and some other things removed from my sinus cavity. I'm feeling more like myself each day and the doctor was very confident I would see a big improvement afterwards. I'm not complaining, what I'm dealing with insignificant compared to what some people deal with on a daily basis. If I was going to complain I would have to mention being stuck in my recliner on the first day of archery season:(

Hang in there - glad you are getting back to feeling better.

MAybe this will cheer you up (credit to Nickels for finding this GIF) -

Hoping you feel better soon.
Just got home from work, hopefully I can get some sleep, I have trouble sleeping during the day.

Third shift is rough. Especially when you only do it a couple days out of the week. I got to the point where I was reliant on black out curtains and whiskey before I could get any decent sleep during the day, and coffee and nicotine to stay awake at night. Not a healthy way to live. About the time my body adjusted to it, I would change shifts and go back to a normal sleep schedule.

Hopefully the transition gets easier for you.

I make a habit of checking out other makers forums. I've noticed there is now another who prefers payments in advance, then fails to deliver when promised. That's why I will never do that, too many things can go wrong, especially as I get older.

The road really goes both ways. I can understand the reasoning behind it. But, it only takes one bad job to lose that trust, whether your the maker or the customer.

I would have no problem paying you in advance because after almost 20 knife purchases from the JK shop I haven't had so much as a hiccup in the process.

Matter of fact, im going to try and count up all the JKs ive gotten. Maybe not 20, but definitely more than 10...

I do respect and appreciate that mindset, John. I use the same with my modding work. Like you say, you never know what's going to happen.

Hello folks, still alive and getting better.
I can walk a bit, but my balance isn't so great yet so I still use my walker.
My hands are getting stronger and I'm getting more fine motor control back so I'll soon be able to use my camera again and post pics of my JK Woodcraft and M13.(been jonesin' to use 'em and show 'em off)

Have a good weekend and Monday if you're lucky enough to have it off.

Great to see your still kickin.
Take your time and go at Your rate. The Doctors will think they know if you are pushing too hard, but you Will know.

Take it slow and steady, you will be back in the woods soon.
