  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The "Whatever" Thread

Down to a few more weeks of orders, then I'm shutting down for the year. Looking through the orders for 2016, it looks like sales were down about 35%. I'm thinking hard about how to proceed in 2017. Both this forum and my Illinois business license expire in January, I'm thinking I should renew them and cross my fingers that it gets better, I'm not ready to call it quits yet.

Your work is quickly becoming my new obsession; while I don't think I can account for 35%, I will certainly be adding to my collection throughout 2017.

I just got my love letter from the IDFPR wanting their tax for owning a business here in Illinois. That at the insurance will be due, and I put up classes and am not getting any interest.

Of course I don't advertise at all, all word of mouth, but it has gotten pretty slow.

I did just get my Utah instructors certification, so I will be able to teach that now and offer a three-state class, Illinois, Florida and Utah. Maybe that will entice a few more people.

My favorite is paying unemployment every quarter. I can never collect it but have to pay it.

Rebecca has been saying her business has been down this year as well, and my university has had to make a bunch of cut backs, maybe it's just a bad year.

Rule #9 about to get a workout.
