The "Whatever" Thread

Looks great!

I had some awesome bacon on Sunday - at the VFW in Mackinaw - they have a breakfast the first Sunday of each month and they have the best bacon ever. Mmmmmmmm.

I made some pretty decent bacon this weekend......
(OK, it took 2 weeks to cure it - but I finished it Saturday)

Had some fun this afternoon with my fly rod. Caught a dozen of these guys this afternoon on a quick trip. This was the first one. No time for pics after this one, as it was one every other cast for about half an hour, then the bite was off. They were kind of fussing around the beds, but not on them yet. Lots of big bull gills that this lake is known for...

Caught on some of these I tied up last weekend. Mr.Peanut:

Bluegill numero uno was along for the ride to do what it was designed for. She manufactured an improvised stringer with some found cord and a whittled sapling. Didn't think to snap a pic so here's an older one.

Going back tomorrow to try for another dozen so we can have a fish fry with the next door neighbors this weekend. Fun stuff.

Nice fish! I need to get out here as our bream and shellcracker have been preparing beds as well. Thought the full moon last night may set things in motion. We'll see this weekend!

Hey all,

I've got one more I'm working on and a reserve Pocket Muk I'm still thinking on left. There are all on the website of course: https://hkhandlesknives.com/hk-store/, let me know if anyone wants JK Fan friendly pricing ;) They are available, except for the Osage Pooka which is on hold if the guy who ordered it decides he wants it.

nice to be back ;)

Walmart has Winchester USA 9mm brass case 115 grain for $18.97 per hundred. Picked up 300 rounds today.

The two Walmart stores near me don't sell handgun ammo. Kinda messed up considering I'm in Kane County. I believe the store in Shorewood does and it has a better knife selection.

Our local store didn't have it, so I drove down to Kankakee, they had a bunch of it. It's not a sale price, it's their everyday price. They don't carry the Federal bulk pack anymore, replaced it with the Winchester.

Only have the .25 handgun, have to drive to next count o er to find ammuntion for it, seems like rare commodity around here. Then again o don't think there's a Walmart with a sports section in our county lol
