...tell me about this Rifleman's bacon chili! got a pic? a recipe? i just made a batch of chili on Sunday for football day. i must have did the spice mix a bit different this time. i was disappointed how bland it was. but, add some jalapenos, cheese and sour cream...and it ain't so bad.

That's the good thing about under spicing..you can always adjust to taste after the fact.

it's my top secret chili recipe sir! I can not give it out :) I have won the last 8 chili cook off's with it. Many of the losers have attempted to bribe me and or steal it from me.

I like my chili on the spicy side so it's usually a touch hot for your average person though.

I have heard about these mythical creatures known as steelhead. There are some in the Great Northwest that swear they exist and some actually claim to have caught them. I don't believe a word of it. I've spent some very cold days on the river trying to find these creatures and swear that they do not exist.

Hey all,

didn't want to start a new thread and detract form others but I did want to post and let you all know that scarefest was this weekend just gone. It went really well and while we didn't sell out of books Rebecca got to meet a whole lot of people, including some of her favorite celebrities, met some people who knew about her books who we didn't even know! and got in for free, it was a complete win :) (there may also have been some JK handmade knives business cards on the table and discussed from time to time :))

I'll try to upload some pictures here soon, just wanted to let you all know and say THANK YOU once again for all the support in donations well wishes and thoughts!

Rebecca also wanted me to mention that she is getting the list ready of books, pictures and other donation rewards and will get it out to you all very soon.

I am happy to hear you went and had a great time!

Thanks for the update -

best

I've heard that a fly made of Bigfoot fur and unicorn mane is very effective.

You ever in the Grand Rapids MI area, let me know, my brother in law could put you on some steelhead.

You from Milwaukee? I live about 2 miles south of McKinley marina.

No, I live in the western 'burbs of Chicago. We've been going up to the marina for 5 or 6 years for the salmon though.

My buddy also hits that area for brown trout a little later in the season.

Job interview today with a company that makes prototypes of pert near anything a customer wants by either machining metal, stamping metal or using 3D printers of various types.
Sounds pretty interesting.
Fingers crossed.
