The "Whatever" Thread

What????

Um, no way....too early

I used the last couple pounds of deer burger to make the first batch of chili a couple weeks ago.

Definitely my favorite soup.

had a decent frost this morning.
the chill was offset by the forced air forge running most of the day at the Heartland Bladesmithing Symposium in Topeka, Ks.

it got stupid cold here today. state mandated training and it's freaking 38 degrees out? no thanks lol. it should be in the 50's right now. oh well I guess my garlic will go in early this year just to be safe!

Returned home yesterday from a fishing trip to the Outer Banks. It was 74 there at 5:30 am yesterday and 54 in the middle of the day when I got home. We got a light frost this morning. That was enough, I'm not ready for snow.

We've been without water here in the apts. since Friday morn thanks to a pipe breaking.
They had it fixed once, tested it, found a leak, fixed it, tested it, found another leak, now waiting for the sealant/adhesive to cure after last nights "fix".
They say the adhesive for the PVC has to dry for 12 friggin' hrs. before testing it again hence the lengthy outage.
At least I was able to wash some dishes before they shut it off again to fix the latest leak last night.
Roto-Rooter is doing the work and I just don't think I can recommend them for your plumbing needs at this point.:grumpy:
Oh Angies list.....
I have all the confidence in the world the third time will be the charm though.
I have bottled water to brush my teeth, but boy I sure could use a shower...........

This happened a couple of week ago at the same spot too.
Me thinks threaded pipe vs glued together pipe would seal better, but hey, I'm no professional so what do I know.

Weather wise, partly cloudy with a high of 72 & a low of 56 today.

Go Hawks!

had frost yesterday morning and a high around 64.
this morning it was 45 when I walked out the door and almost made it to 80.

Talking about the weather - Yesterday on the coast was a lovely sunny day in the low 60°s (low 40°s) today).
Was a perfect day for lunch on the dock - lobster rolls and steamers and beer. Very likely the last such day until next summer - so sad :(
Fun while it lasted.

I used to get on the Bluenose to head to Yarmouth NS after eating a meal like that.
Are you in the Bah Hahbah (Bar Harbor to non-downeasters) area?
