Theoretically Speaking...(maybe not?) Which Becker do you choose for Zombies??

With my framer, I could bust the lock off the door in about 3 swings, then, inside, I could use the claw as a door stop, to keep the intact door closed, and secure, while the start finding some supplies to board up with. Break out my box of 16penny nails, and fortify the shit outta that abandoned house, until the morning, where as we all know, zombies dissolve in the daylight, we could use my hammer to unbarricade the door, and head out to our next destination.

I only need a small selection of equipment.
My BK5 and a Moose.
The rest of you are gonna be catfood.

bk2 on my waist
bk9 on my hip
springfield xdm 4.25 in .45 for last ditch.

they will never get that close with my ar chambered in .22, suppressed. You can only hear the bolt clanging. :)

Also...I plan on surrounding the house with treadmills.

Treadmills, now there is a novel idea. Never would have thought about that. I had planned on a dry moat. Figured once I caught enough, it would help keep marauders out as well.

Not all threats in a Zombie World are zombies, always remember that. Living can be even more ruthless than the dead, in most cases. Especially when it comes to resources. One must keep in mind, marauders seek what others have, and if you have women in your group, there's always something that must be watched over. I have a wife and daughters, so, marauders beware.

Thanks to my skills, and equipment, I have the ability to strike long before they know they are being hunted. And hunted they would be.

always thought about a moat...but never a dry moat....that is genius....who the hell needs water when you have a moat full of undead to keep the marauders away....

or I would just find one of these and move the family out...

Big cities = more zombies which = more trouble. I say, have a good E&E plan, that stays off the main drags, and supports vehicle traffic. Make sure its 4 wheel drive, and has cargo room. Gonna need some room for gear and Beckers.

No Beckers, just lotsa beans, and cabbage perhaps. That should take care of the undead hordes......at once. ;)

Thats exactly the plan Moose. Im near the Gearge Washington bridge but if I cant make it there..I have an old 2 bay garage that I kind of built into a mini fort (told my wife its a man cave lol). I also have a Ford Bronco sitting there for the escape. My wife doesnt think it funny anymore about prepping for zombies. Her nypd partner asked me yesterday to borrow my Zombie Survival Guide book and about getting a BOB bag together lol.

This is genius.

Unfortunately I pirated the motor out of a treadmill to build a grinder.

Soo.... I'm gonna surround the house with outward-facing KMGs with 14" contact wheels. I'll set all the speed controls to 'Fat Burn'.

As long as the power is on I'll be safe. Then the shooting and hacking starts.

Ouch, you sir, are zombie screwed. If it was me, I would be looking into finding a tug near Battery Park, or somewhere else, that I could "borrow" in a time of need. The Gdub is gonna be a buffet line, and no amount of BKT's are gonna help you there.

Like I said, plan on a water escape. If need be, you can drop you or someone in your group off, to secure transportation while the rest of the party hangs back about a hundred yards off shore. Zombies can't drown, but they damn sure can't swim. Plus, you can take shots inland to help out your transpo recon bait, er, I mean partner. :D

Water is really gonna be your safest method of escape. Trying to get off the Island, on ANY road, is gonna hose you. Seek solace in the sea, mon frere. Plus, you'd look badass flying a pirate flag and yellin' "YAR!!!" at zombies on the shore.

I think I woiuld get a small group together and run down to the docks and commandeer the lady washington. Even with the world going to crap, cannons and zombies should make for an absolutely glorious day.

Hell yeah it would. Plus, the whole Pirate's of the Zombieribean theme would totally work. "YAR!!! Ya undead bitches!!! BOOM!!!"

:D

A glorious day indeed.

Well, just make sure it can handle provisions, and can run for a while on limited fuel. That's why I said tug boat. If you look at their design, you see a boat, designed for deep water work, under heavy load, carrying a full crew. They are strong, and very fuel efficient. Just getting out of NYC will be challenging, but you can take a tug not just across the river, but all the way down the coast. Going slow, keep the coast line 500yds off to your right, don't stop until you hit an area you find inviting.

Or just keep going to find you an island to call home. I'm in a land locked state, only water and islands around here are fresh water, and would require quite abit of doing to get to the ocean.

If I wasn't here, if I lived on the coast, that would be my E&E plan. Plus, you can stock up a tug with several weeks of provisions, which is good.

I would avoid the pirate flag though, as the coast guard and navy would probably be the least directly affected by any such outbreak and would probably be looking for actual pirates/looters.
Would suck to survive just to get shot by the good guys.

I'd have to go with an RBK to get me to this (ready to roll with SEAL team intact):

see zombies, deploy balloons.....

Up-House-NG-How-Hard-Can-it-Be-6-537x358.jpg

then use the beckers to get down to saftey...

After seeing the beating that an RBK can take, when I was at the gathering. I think RBK as well, of course my guns would come too and if I was over loaded and needed to move, the heaviest, and least ammo efficient weapons would get dropped in favor of the lighter higher capacity ones. I would rather have 1000 rounds of 22 LR than 100 rounds of 45 cal

I think if the dead rise, and start eating people, Pirates of the open water would be the least on the Coasties or Navy's mind. You gotta think, in utter chaos and turmoil, enforcement of man's laws will be low on the totem pole. Those that will be trying to enforce it, will be probably gone quick.

Law of the jungle, don't get eaten would be the only law in effect. Hence the marauders, and their desire to obtain by force, that which they do not have. Food, fuel, water and women, are all on the list. Not to mention ammo and guns, and some other niceties that you might have, that they want. You gotta be willing to keep it at all costs, because they will try to take it at all costs.

If you think the LEO's, National Guard, Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy or Coasties are gonna be there to back you up, might wanna think again.

Same rules apply to a zombie outbreak as for a fire on your back, the only thing you are concerned with, is putting the flames out. The hero's will die first. Its just that simple.
