I have been waiting for them too.. I got a huge pile of crap to sell to free up some fun money. One of those hammer hawks and a BK5 in my future, if I can drag my ass to the bay.
 
I won an Izula sheath from a contest, at the ESEE forum. I don't have an Izula. Joe, from Regalia Innovations PM'd me there, and told me he could make some other sheath for me. So he's gonna make me a carbon fiber Holstex pancake sheath for my Candiru. Very cool of him to do. :thumbup:

Joe does a helluva nice sheath. For as "new" as he is he does damn good work! That is very cool man.
 
Very cool. I wasn't sure what to do really. I didn't want to put it up for trade, or sell it really. I think the guy that ran the contest, must have told him I didn't have an Izula. There were 13 prizes in all, and I won the one I couldn't use, haha. Worked out great though. I was wanting a sheath for my Candiru, for neck carry. Now I'll have one.

Got my Sawyer mini filter. Pretty cool. Small and light.

But i just noticed my Bone Collector is out for delivery in the wrong zip code... Its so close, less than 2 miles away... Yet so far.... I keep F5'ing the tracking info hoping it doesnt say delivered in that zip code.... I hope they notice their mistake and it comes with tomorrow's mail.

Thanks man. I have both Sawyer filters, but have used neither. The mini wasn't even out when I bought the original. Damn thing cost me $50 too, the cheapest I could find it anywhere. Now, of course, Wally has them for $30.

I have used both larger versions, the .1 and .02, quite a bit in the past. I love their filters. But i just found out about the mini a few weeks back and its hard to NOT add that to a kit. I got mine for 17 bucks or so because i had a promotional credit. But even without it at 20-30 bucks its well worth the price.

Im not sure how lifestraw will stay in business now though.

I just got a couple survival straws for 6 bucks. Not sure the manufacturer. Got them from the Survival Life promo.

We went without cable for a couple years. But then it came down to me wanting faster internet and it was almost silly to get the internet plan without the cable option... I cant remember exactly but the fastest internet was something like 70 bucks a month and with the cable TV option its 84 a month. Im fine with just internet really. These days all you have to do is google what ever you want to watch and it pops up, And even with cable the kids still mostly use Netflix. The wife uses regular cable the most and thats only for a few shows a week. But she thinks its worth having those extra channels anyways... I disagree LOL
 
The parent's pay for cable and internet and yada yada yada. I personally have my own separate internet access at the house. They have been paying around $200 per month for all that crap, I pay $45 for mine. I also pay $7.99 for netflix, and I have Amazon Prime (for free... Don't ask, I don't know.)
 
Oh yeah went the the store and picked up paint stripper today, can't wait to strip my BK9.
I'm actually going to do it tomorrow, going with Yellow Mustard for the Patina!
