I don't know what this cost new, and $15 is pushing the envelope of thrifty for me, but I was all set to post it for trapper Friday when I realized I'd made two mistakes.

I remember seeing those, not realizing they were made by Robeson. I think Queen made a similar line of thrifty aluminum knives, didn't they?

MAM Locking Drop Point with Beech handles and a stainless blade. This can be had for around $10 in a variety of places. I bought this one locally so I could handle it before I bought it. That’s thrifty in my book!

My Thrifty Thursday carry for today is a Bear and Son Two Blade Jack.

MAM Locking Drop Point with Beech handles and a stainless blade. This can be had for around $10 in a variety of places. I bought this one locally so I could handle it before I bought it. That’s thrifty in my book!

That and an Opinel are in use constantly in my kitchen

Yes indeed: I forgot that. It makes buying a new one a
better investment, thereby justifying, to some extent, a higher price.

As much as I enjoy my custom and GEC knives they do prove the law of diminishing returns. Their cost doesn't justify their value in comparison to most of the knives in this thread. But then I wouldn't be a certified knife knut if I didn't disprove my own conclusions. Hahahahaha

My 1976 Camillus #66 with new handles and a quick blade wet-sanding. Gave it a whole new look. I looked up the Camillus price list for that year...$9.25 plus tax!
