I haven't had a good Szalonna since '06, the last time I was back home to Hungary I see that pic and I see the szalonna and forgot about the knife. Makes me wanna make Tepetor (sp?) It's rendered pork fat cooked down till it's like a softer pork cracklins, very creamy and full of flavor. Last time I was back home I smuggled about 2 lbs home, they didn't know what to make of it at customs but they let me bring it in. My mother's sister made it for me to take back stateside, it took her 6 hours of cooking it down till it was the right consistency. Taste great but oh so bad for you. Looked very similar to this.

This is the large one, 10cm, a smaller exists also, both copper or nickel silver, Krupp stainless or carbon. The grey horn come from Hungarian Grey Cattle.


I have a soft spot for the Great Plain and hope you enjoy too.

Jó napot kívánok. Sziasztok magyar testvéreim! Első generációs magyarnak/amerikainak születtem, mindkét szüleim '57-ben jöttek át és lettek amerikai állampolgárok. My anya is from Kunsziget/Gyor Megye, es apja a Miskolc/Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén megye.

Néhányszor voltam itthon, legutóbb 2006-ban a lányommal és anyukámmal, szeretem itthon és Attilával, ha legközelebb hazamegyek, meg kell látogatnom néhány italra és egy jó magyar szolonnára valamint magyar rozskenyér és friss paprika, hagymás uborka és paradicsom.

Az egyetlen magyar bicskám egy Josef Sziraki Sleeveboard Lobster on gyöngyszem az 1800-as évek közepéről, itt egy gyors kép, kell még posztolnom.

Íme az információ, adott néhány éve adott nekem egy tag a fórumon.
