Traditional knives and records

I enjoy almost every track on this record! The horns on "Keep the Customer Satisfied" still mightily thrill me (almost as much as the brass fanfare in the "Lone Ranger" part of the "William Tell Overture")!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

One of my favorite albums of all time. The musicianship of this band was unmatchable. Have you heard "Roxy by Proxy" or the newly released 7 disc "Roxy Performances"? How about "The Crux of the Biscuit"? It's all the original, unedited, base recordings for "Roxy" and "Apostrophe(')".

As a college freshman in 1969, I had a friend who worked for the college radio station and had access to all the Beatles albums and equipment that made backwards playing of albums easy. I remember staying up all night one time exploring all the "evidence" of the "Paul is dead" rumors. Fun times!

I don't believe I've heard those other two, but saw a bunch of shows during that Napoleon Murphy Brock era, and...wow!

I'm jealous. My dad saw them in '68 or '69 (original line-up) and again in 1974. The 72-75 era is by far my favorite. Those guys could play the most technical, complicated stuff, then turn it around and just jam. The albums I mentioned are newer, within the last year or so; they're going through all of Frank's archives (which are massive) and releasing all the stuff they think his fans will want to hear. I wish I could have seen them back in the day, but I was born 30 years too late.

Look what I found, I didn't even know I had this album....life is good!

Good one! Tomorrow I'll post my favorite MP album.

Not really an album for music, but I think it might be an exception with this knife. :D

Wow, that takes me back!!:eek: I'd completely forgotten about Firesign Theater until your post, GE Jr GE Jr . I think the album I've heard the most from them is "Don't Crush That Dwarf - Hand Me the Pliers", with the saga of Georgie Tirebiter. :D:D I'll have to do some digging to see if I actually have that album; I enjoyed occasionally listening to comedy albums, but I don't remember buying any myself.

That's the one I recall. I think I have it on Cassette. My oldest grandson's name is George and I occasionally sing a line or two from that jingle to him. My wife just rolls her eyes.
