There's absolutely loads of info out thereI appreciate the info and I can start my research with what’s been provided. Pretty interesting. Thanks all for sharing.
Hope it re-introduces you to a lot of funSince I’m new to the world of slingshots, I appreciate all the info provided here. When I was a kid, you could get inner tube and make one but the tube was starting to be not right for slingshots. Then buying a wrist rocket sufficed and I’ve always had one of those. Never gave it much thought until this thread.
Thanks Jack, I haven’t shot for a few years. But I’m going to dog out the wrist rocket in a few minutes.
Jack, you’ve piqued my interest. I had Wrist Rockets when I was a kid and they were fun. What do you know about Fowler sling shots? After all these years I figure a beginner would be best to start with.Hope it re-introduces you to a lot of funUntil about five years ago, I hadn't used a slingshot for about 40 years!

You should check out JoergSprave's YouTube Channel!![]()
I've had that Sparrow a year or so, since Simpleshot first made a version of Zachary Fowler's wooden one. It's inexpensive, lightweight, simple, and shoots really well. It's simplicity is what appeals to me most about it I thinkJack, you’ve piqued my interest. I had Wrist Rockets when I was a kid and they were fun. What do you know about Fowler sling shots? Joerg is an inventive and proud German Dan!Thanks for sharing Jack. The guy on the video is a genius, his slingshot is an other great British contribution to the civilisation, with the 8 parts cap and the Barlow.
Dan.

I am NOT about to start spending money on things I don’t really need just because of nostalgia, or because they seem cool, or because I’m being egged on by a bunch of guys who have nothing better to do than discuss their ridiculous pastime on some internet forum!Jack, you’ve piqued my interest. I had Wrist Rockets when I was a kid and they were fun. What do you know about Fowler sling shots? After all these years I figure a beginner would be best to start with.
Thank you, it's about the last target sport I can do hereThat's some good slingshot shooting there Jack.
I like them but never got very good at it.
I've had some cheap big box store models over the years and the tubes or bands always dried out on me because I would only mess with them occasionally.
I may have to think about getting something decent, learning how to care for the bands, and practicing till I'm a decent shot.
A lot of people like to look down on slingshots or airguns as kids toys, but those people are foolish to discount something that's very practical and a good past time.
I think OTT is the most popular todayIs there any benefit to OTT vs TTF? TTF seems like the traditional way and all.
I found my wrist rocket and it needs new tubes. Looks like last time I shortened them and they aren’t long enough. I seem to remember that. I shouldn’t have a problem retying them, if I can find tubing in town.
Watching a random video is what got me started againI been watching some videos. Burning river bushcraft guy shows how he made a jig and reties the pouch. No problemo.
