I had a sharpfinger that I retipped before my house burnt. I’d helped a friend redo his floor and he gave it to me. I liked it quite a bit though I didn’t get a chance to use it. I’d like to find the drop point version. I think it’s number 154ot. But I haven’t run across one yet.yes that gift set fromOld Hunter was a real shocker for me i carried a sharp finger for a lot of years and dressed a lot of deer with them. it brings back a lot of memories.
The Smithey is great but that knife is spectacular! The chefs knife was made for me by my son it’s ball bearing Damascus with a Mexican blanket Micarta scale
Yes my son makes his own Damascus billets then forges his own chefs knives. I chose the Mexican blanket G carta for the scales. It is one of my favorite kitchen knives. The Smithey is great but that knife is spectacular!
I've never wanted a custom kitchen knife until now. That is one special piece of work. VERY nice.Browning some Hamburg ,peppers, onion in the smithey to add to my homemade baked beans for the grandkids. The kids call them cowboy beans. I don’t think it makes me a better cook but I do enjoy using it. The Damascus requires care as it has carbon steel in it but I do love to watch the patina grow and it gets very sharp with very little effort. As with my cast iron that I call an heirloom piece so my chefs knives are also.gmhoI've never wanted a custom kitchen knife until now. That is one special piece of work. VERY nice.
Heaven. Thanks for posting, i am drooling looking at your photo.I was in Austin, MN once and visited the SPAM museum. Interesting displays, an original letter from General Eisenhower, etc. but this display was special. There was a Smithey wok there that I would have loved to take home, but it would have interfered with my knife budget. I came across this display in a shop in Billings, Montana. I got the hell out of there as quick as I could, before I did something rash.
