Mine were marked on the blade as that.

I must have gotten bad info, good to know!
Epic troll thread.
Before posting nonsense, you may want to read the video comments the poster himself posted:
"ya i did the test on the spine incorrectly. but my cut has healed."
'i have realized that this was my fault. it is a great lock"
The steel upgrade is very nice.
Been using back locks for 40 years and more, never happened. Tri-Ad locks are a lot harder to open than normal back locks.Which is the source of my initial question (no trolling, just asking)......Is there some grip or orientation that results in the Tri-Ad being likely to disengage or not? That has always been my concern with back-locks and the Cold Steel video tests do not account for this detail. How often does the button get accidentally pressed or is that unheard of (other than by the maker of the Youtube Video) ? If anyone has an honest answer or opinion that would be appreciated. I suppose I will know first hand soon, but I'd rather not find out the hard way.

That, and the boxes they came in were signed as certified XHP by Lynn ThompsonNo I don't think you did. I read somewhere that the first batches, or maybe just the first batch, of XHP was not marked. The only way one could separate them was by a slightly different textured black coating, I believe the aus8 coating was teflon.
Just wait till he tries to unlock the triad for the first time LOL
His next thread will be about how stiff the lock is and his thumb hurts haha
Once you break them in it gets better, and your thumb gets stronger.
I laugh a little every time I see someone complain about this. It's no harder to unlock than your typical Buck 110.
You haven't handled a Spartan have you?I laugh a little every time I see someone complain about this. It's no harder to unlock than your typical Buck 110.
