Good looking bird. What is is?

I didn't have near enough time either. I'm headed out a few hour west of Waco this weekend to try to get a couple does.

You would have a great time on my land then as I have a ton of coons. I do enjoy watching them while bowhunting.

I absolutely would enjoy that. We have very few coon here, and I try to make a trip into central Wyoming every spring just to pup train.

neil944, what's your rifle? Looks like a Rem 700 bolt, but the stock is unfamiliar. I use the Claw slings, too. That's a beautiful deer species.

It's actually a T/C Icon. .308 with the "weathershield" package. I believe they stopped making them a few years ago. I can't imagine why; it's a slick shooting, tack driver. I've really enjoyed it.

I guy I hunted with had a 308 Icon. It was a great rifle a little on the heavy side but he shot well. I don't remember the yardage but he took an Eland with that 308.

Nice. Yep, it is a little heavy. That's my only complaint on it. The only barrel option is 26" and that makes the rifle just a hair too long for most rifle cases. I end up having to use shotgun length cases for it.

I've heard good things about the T/C. Glad it's working for you, sure looks like a nice rifle. I had my Rem 700 .270 WSM cut down to 24-inch. It handles much faster now, a good trade-off IMO for the loss of 100 fps.

While i do love too hunt, i love fishing Even more!
And now seatrout season is right around the corner!😆

Awesome pix teyler79. I also love to flyfish. Funny thing is when I'm hunting and see a trout stream I immediately what to fish it and while I'm fishing and see a deer trail or rub I wish I was in a bow stand. How messed up is that:)

Thanks guys!☺
Can't wait to finish work tonight, 3 days of fishing ahead😆

this thread has done two things to me... I never thought about hunting (I own guns but not for that reason) but seeing the enthusiasm and the sheer practicality of it has made me start looking into it and talking to my friends who do hunt to maybe go out with them....i used to fish all the time (when i lived in Richmond) but haven't much the last 7 yrs or so, and thanks to you guys I am striving to get back into it.

awesome thread and keep these pictures coming!!

The thing that got me into hunting as a youth was
pigeons, the speed, action and exitement of a proper pigeonhunt is still one of my favourites!

redwood, I hope you try it out. There's so much more to hunting than pulling the trigger. And if you do, I hope you take lots of pictures :)

Yeah! Fishing has been a passion of mine my entire life☺
In a month me and my buddies are travelling to bornholm in denmark.
Rented a house on the Beach, and a fishing-guide. Bornholm is known in europe for big seatrout, so I can't wait going there and hopefully snag a big one!
