Trophy Room - Hunting and Fishing Pics

Thanks guys, it was a good tag. The system is just a simple draw, every year you don't get a tag you earn a bonus point. The are also lots of let over tags you can buy and over the counter archery tags. You can put in for elk deer antelope bear turkey and Javalina.

Sounds pretty similar to here, except we don't have a points system. Our fall tags are for deer, elk, antelope and bear. If you want to put in for mountain goat, sheep, or moose, you have to forego the others.

They said not to bother bringing a knife with(as if!) because they do all the processing. I brought a couple smaller knives with. If I had a S!K at that time I doubt I would bring it. I would worry about it being stolen from the bag handlers.

Too bad that's the reality, but definitely better safe than sorry.

Your guys big Mountain hunting looks amazing. I have an exo mountain pack. They are out of Idaho, they make some great videos. I think it's pure elevation productions.

Got to spend some time in the hills enjoying the outdoors and chasing turkeys

After setting up and getting busted a couple times, success :)

Got to use a pair of GSOs for processing. I chose to just lop off the lower legs with the 10. I've no doubt that sucker would lop off a wrist just as easy, it's a serious piece of steel. The 3.5 was perfect for the rest.

It was a nice big tom, a Merriams I believe, with a good beard for here. Here's the beard on the GSO 10.

I was able to get one called in for my daughter, too, so I got to clean a second bird with a set of swamprats. She took a really nice gobbler, here's his beard on the Rat Mastiff.

My wife snapped a pic of me and my girl coming off an unsuccessful stand, so that everyone could see what we look like ;)

And the best part :)

Winner Winner Turkey Dinner :D Enjoy!

Beautiful photos HardKnocks and thank you for sharing. Is the last photo a representation of a before-bedtime-snack or are you on a diet? :D

Wow HK! You win. I am so glad this thread exists. I have had no time to do anything outdoors this year, except for 1 trout fishing trip and fishing in the pond across from my house.

Wow, great pics HK! Very jealous of that scenery, I can just smell the sagebrush..
I'm originally from Utah, and seeing pics like yours make me miss the wide open West, nothing quite like it.
Next you're going to show me some pics of some killer trout streams and then I'm really going to lose it :D
Cheers brother

Lol. I had just kicked back and taken a bite when I thought dang, I ought to snap a picture of that. I had to straighten my rice back out to make it presentable :D

I hear you man. This spring has been nuts for me as well. It's amazing what a day or two in the hills does for my sanity. I hope you get some time out, I want to see some more big trout pictures!

We cut through Utah when I had to tow that truck back to my boy in Nebraska a couple weeks ago. I haven't got to spend much time there, but wow that area around Morgan, north of Ogden is gorgeous! Glad you enjoyed the pics brother, and I hope I get to show you some of those trout streams too :)

I did a little hunting but I've got so much construction going on along with other work I have to do time is limited this year. I've haven't even fished yet😡👎

I hear ya, it's hard to get time out. May is when our applications for the fall drawings are due, so now I'm starting to dream about that. More doing, less dreaming I say, ha! Hope you get some time away soon bud.

I had a N2 in my bag, does that count??

Yes, yes it does! Looks like the young fella had a great time. And as a guy who spends a lot of time hauling dogs around, I bet you enjoy the heck out of that trailer!

We had a great day...17 pheasants and I only missed one. The second half of the hunt were somewhat wild birds, the ones that survived the season and were pretty gamy, is where I got my miss.

I WISH that was my trailer and dogs. I shot these birds on a preserve in SW Virginia and the dogs, shorthaireds, and trailer belonged to the guide.

Here are a few others

My wife shot all of these on a hunt in Oregon. She blew up the last one and gave it to me as an X-Mass present. It's so detailed that one of my hunting buddies ask me if I missed the first shot. I said yes how did he know, he said he could see smoke coming out of the top barrel. Just for the record I killed that bird, a Hun. I bagged 60+ birds on that trip. All wild.
