So, I don't know if when I get my next mileage check I want to put a deposit down on a Randall Made Knife or not. It won't be delivered till..... Sometime mid 2019... The one I want is only $400, so if I do $100 a year then it really isn't that bad of a hit!

But then I'd also LOVE to get a Chris Reeve knife, which WOULD be a major hit... :( Decisions, decisions.

Up all night with my little dog buddy sick and needing out every 30 minutes. He seems a bit better during the morning/day, but this is the third night in a row he's gotten me up a few times.

@Gus, Thanks, he's doing a bit better but he's still not feeling good. Not sure if he needs to go to the vet or not, but we're gonna get some wormer today to see if that helps. He's been drinking a good bit, but mostly after he throws up.

Good to hear. Just make sure he doesn't have Parvo.

Cbear, are you going to the gathering? I could bring a Randall for you to screw around with if that would help the decision making process.
I'm not. I couldn't get the gathering and blade show off. However I will be at the fall one (hopefully.)

First world problems! ;)

And I vote that you bring the Randall.
Hey! First world problems are problems too! Mr. "I only want to spend less than 2 million on my house" :P

G-shark -- I prefer the no-coating models and they're available on the river store for just over $20 USD, but 2 at that price and get free shipping.
Or international flat rate shipping from my house to yours is $24, international first class postage is $12
if you need help getting 1 or 2 of them to you from here, send me a PM or email.

Thanks for the advice and the offer! I guess you're right and I better stick to the uncoated ones. Small blades incl. shipping to Belgium are not so much of a problem though. It's mostly for larger fixed blades that I always need to sort things out and need help with shipping. Hence, ordering another dozier won't be problematic. Maybe I ought to throw in a Rat 1 and zancudo too, I've never tried those and they look nice for the price. Thanks a lot though, much appreciated!

Pffff... Just went on a binge with mechanical watches. Now these blades... Maybe I gotta wait a bit for the $ to weaken a bit again, I dunno. Buying stuff in the US is easily 30% more expensive compared to this period last year. Still cheaper than buying it domestically though. First world problems?

You guys are really helping, lol. Well, I'm mostly fond of smaller folders so the rat 2 may be a good choice indeed.. But the rat 1 is more or less of an icon. Damn it!

And you have your victorianox blades covered right? You NEED a spartan and a farmer.

Don't forget about your Case and Queen cutlery, and GEC traditional slipjoints!

Oh and you NEED a Buck 112 if you like little broken blades.

Got several classics, farmer, 2 cadets and a climber. Multiple case knives too, no gec nor queen though. Gotta prioritize! I do have like 20 Opinels or so, as well as other European, Asian an US traditional patterns. That's the other subforum you'll mostly find me at, I guess. Thanks for the suggestions though ;)

So my neighbor got himself a brand new chainsaw today, ended up ruining his old one, its a wonder he hadn't killed himself with one. He gets so drunk he cant walk and for some reason that's when he thinks its a good time to cut his downed trees for firewood. Good guy, but a little different, probably weighs 90 lbs. soppin wet. Anyway, he could not for the life of him get his brand new saw started today, I've gone over there 3X to start it for him. He asked me in frustration why I have no trouble with it, and I told him because im not carrying a purse. Think it pissed him off. I noticed a few minutes ago he had a bottle outside with him. I think I will refrain from starting it anymore tonight.

Just got back from putting some lead down range. Nothing like a few hours of shooting and a few hundred rounds to make you feel relaxed!

well. hah. spent way too much mad money on random tools this weekend, but, in the long run, i shall enjoy them soooooo much.

hi, my name is bladite and i might have a problem...

well, the real problem is that i can see the need for tools, and i have projects in my head, and i see tools, esp dirt cheap, and i buy them

my main problem is how to best store them, so they can be used easily and well. i'll figure it out. it's a good problem to have.

i've got to find a good sketching program for ipad, or just a grid pad and start jotting down all the crap i want to make :D

Sounds more like an organizational complexity :D

I need to take advantage of these little grills out at our apartment complex more often. There is a little metal shelf on this one that might be perfect for a little camp stove to sit on as well.

Well, I got a couple of packages in the mail today. Firsy and most importantly is my new BK4 from Dexwithers over at Coyle Outdoors. http://www.coyleoutdoors.com/ He's a great guy and really takes care of his customers so be sure and check him out!
I haven't even opened it yet but I will as soon as I get home in the morning. I'm really looking forward to stripping it and putting it to work soon.
The other was a new concealed carry holster from Bianchi. I haven't had a chance to try it out either but that is on the agenda for tomorrow too.
Sunday is shaping up to be a GREAT day!!!
