Two For Tuesday

I know everyone likes their Moras but those rubber/plastic handles make my eyes burn. :p

Kris, I can't believe you found a Bushpik. That's a rare one.

Nice ones GB! :)

For me, it's a couple of Kardas, heavy on the spalting please.

Here are a couple of older kardas to contrast Thurin's nice new kardas, crappy lighting but I'm feeling lazy.

Two for Tuesday - Bushfinger Edition!

Something old and something new.

The old school Bushfinger was my first Fiddleback purchase. I believe it was back in 2011. Inspired by Brian's (Mist's) review of the prototype Bushfinger. I've since cleaned it up and now, just admire it. Although, I think you can still see some faint hints of patina on the blade. I also have an old school "beater" that I use when hiking, camping, etc.
Currently, the Bushfinger is one of my favorite models along with the hiking buddy. I really would like to take a close look at a Bushcrafter Jr. too.

Oh, and let me just add: The spalting on this A2 steel is amazing!! It has a nice thin taper as well. This knife is a stunner.
The old school is a looker as well. The burl on this one has some incredible chatoyance in person.

That's a fine father-daughter set right there.

Yeah, her her being young and new to knife care, I had almost resolved to just get her a mid-tech version when they came out...but this HB just suits her personality better, and this way she'll get to learn to properly maintain a high carbon blade...or how to clean one back up...or the latter then the former... :)

Those are both model reference worthy versions of bushfinger! My grail bushfinger would be your bolstered version in 1/8" TT but still handle on the thicker side.

So many nice knives today!!!

I love the bushpik!!!!!!

The mora joke was hilarious and ... I used my mora companion in the woods with kids this weekend and I have to say that is such a great knife for what it costs!

Those older kardas are epic and that bolstered bushfinger is absolutely stunning!

Both are beautiful, but wow, the spalting on all of the A2 I have seen has been awesome.

Well, I hope you're not all tired of machete combos.

I'm from the south, I never get tired of machete combos :)

Picked up my bolstered Esquire today during my Tuesday visit. This is my 3rd Esquire .. but by far one of my favorite Fiddlebacks.

Gonna be a go to off duty EDC with my new scout pouch ISP carry. Love this blade.
Been saving that WabiSabi Boba Fett bead for the right knife. Believe this is it.
