Two For Tuesday

Looks good Phil! I have a b&t from Jarrett in drunken burlap cpm 154 and I really like it. I can't wait to take it trout fishing this summer!!!

I remember seeing a picture of your knife Tod. Jarrett does a nice job of finishing his knives. I hope that you catch enough trout to give it a good workout.

Phil:

The contours on the B&T are amazing. Nice choice on the handle material !

Peter

Thanks Peter! I am happy with the way this one turned out plus it filled in another color to my Shadetree rainbow.

Nice 2-fer Phil. The evergreen over yellow is one of my favorites.

My new patch matches the config on my Camp Nessie, although there is a slight coloration difference in the oreo. So here's my 2-fer

That is a good looking pair Phillip. Let me know what you think of the Patch after you have spent some time using it.

I snagged this Hiking Buddy a little while ago and just got the KE Bushie from Knives Ship Free recently.

I'm liking this pair a lot. Maybe too much to use, though it embarrasses me to say so.

That is one fine pair, D.H., remarkable how they match so well. Full micarta scales seem to be getting rare, keep them in the family ;) please if you ever decide to sell.

Thanks, trestle. I was really pleased to find a KE Bushie that matched the Hiking Buddy. And I'm surprised by how much I like the Bushie. It doesn't get discussed a lot around here so far as I can tell, but it's a nice knife. I like that it's a four incher that doesn't have all the blade height of a Bushcrafter.

Those Bustboots look good together Roemer1. I like the rounded corners on the Tux one.

Thanks Bud for posting the new models Bud. The mid-tech Runt looks more hand-filling than I expected. That Tangerine burlap looks really sharp on the Punk.

Congratulations on the nice matching pair D.H. Maybe you should do a review of K.E. Bushie to raise the awareness of that model.

I second the idea to do a KE Bushie review. It's a model that is very different then what I usually go to but catches my eye everytime. It's just super compact/light for its length and the blade profile looks ridiculously useful.

Hey Grizz,

FYI - I did a review of the K.E. Bushie last year as part of the "Trio Exchange" thread that I did with Thurin. Here is the link if you care to read it:

Sounds good.

Thus far, all I've done is fondle the knife. But, if I decide to make it a user, I'll document and review.

Thanks Phil, it is the best feeling in the hand of any of the Bushboot's I've had.
I'm not sure if the notched pommel is an update but I like them without it.
I wish they were all like it.

Thanks Phil! That was a FANTASTIC read. Even after years of lurking on the FF forum I can say i am consistently amazed at everyone's generosity in sharing their knowledge and experience. I was also happily surprised to see a Sneaky Pete review within the same post. That's another blade that I used to think was ugly but has been creeping up on my "I need to try this thing" scale.

Thanks again.
