Two recent esquires. Absolutely love the feel of those smaller knives.

Gots me a bonafide Box Elder Burl pluma to match my BEB collection. yeah, come on!

Shortly after my son was born I began wondering if he would have the same affinity for knives as I did and do. I have loved them from a very young age,without anyone ever steering me in that direction. I'd order "stilettos" and other goodies from the back of boys life magazine,usually sending cash from allowances or birthdays. I decided to start a "Father&Son" collection of better quality knives that I could share and use with him. He's just turned seven and is very comfortable with and around knives, guns,axes,fire,folks and zombies. Here's a couple of sets:

Ohta, Lloyd,Laguiole's.

A little early but here's my eucalyptus duo, lone two purchases this year, so thought Id take a glamour shot before they get loved.

Good to see some variety here. Nice story as well.

:eek::eek::eek: Those are sick!!

thanks guys, i had been wanting a eucalyptus fiddie ever since I saw mistwalker's kephart last year. the scale on the bushcrafter is especially mesmerizing. the photo turned out ok, but I shot them too close as the outer edges of the photo aren't as sharp as they could be (plus the aperture was set a bit low, so shallower depth of field).

Very cool how the spalting looks like it starts on the handle and is carried onto the blade. Great looking set.

Here's a shot of that Kephart. It's interesting to me how different the scales look on yours vs the Kephart.
