UBERKNIVES aka UBERTACS aka Dan Lee aka Edward Keating do not trust!

Uberknives's FB page has taken down the post that UK was sold to Dan Lee and has been replaced by a claim that Dan Lee robbed UK.
Edward Keating also posted a phone # to contact him with issues.

I really like how in the other thread there were people defending uberknives because they had good deals, guess what, not really. When a dealer acts like that and starts posting incoherent 12 year old sentences there is bound to be problems.

Is it really worth saving a couple bucks and risking this headache?

This is a shame.. could you imagine if one of your go to retailers did something like this to you.. would be a downer for sure. I am really sorry this happened to you guys. I hope this has a positive outcome

I agree that saving money and dealing with anyone behaving like this, is not worth it, but this was not the case when I made my purchase. I have posted in the past, an account of my positive experience with Edward Keating and UberKnives. I vetted them on this forum and others. None of what's going on now, was going on then. I sincerely feel bad for the posters who are getting shafted. I hope for a positive outcome for them.

Between March 6, 2015 and April 7, 2015 I purchased 3 AdV Butcher & Mini Butcher knives from Uber Knives. The first two orders on March 6th and 10th shipped out fast and no issues at all. At that time it was just Keating. Towards the end of March / early April that Dan guy showed up.

Received an AdV Mini TAC-Butcher on Friday, April 10th. The thumb disc screw got sheared off on first try. Emailed Uber and the next day on Saturday, April 11th I received a return shipping label from them so it didn't cost me anything to return it. They received it on Monday morning, April 13th.

I emailed them daily on when the replacement would ship out and every day it was either no response or going out today. It did not ship out until Friday, April 17th and I got the good replacement on Monday, April 20th. The replacement should've shipped out on Monday, April 13th.

Considering the experience of others here I was lucky to have resolved my last order but the delays and non-communication made me not deal with them since.

There is far too much drama going on with these guys. Whatever kinds of issues they have internally is not the burden of the customers to bear.

Wow, just read this thread. And this is a legit, pro dealer? All this stuff sounds really shady. Not sure if the discounts are worth the headache.

i would think he would step up to the plate and let the public know what he is going to do to resolve this.

This person is a loser and has also been taking advantage of people in this community.
TOO my knowledge..The person whom was handling the orders and shipping is NO LONGER with Dan at UBER
The owner reached out too me.. (Why have no clue)..
Of course every side has a seperate story..
Not certain whom too believe..I would HIGHLY suggest for the folks to contact CC companies and or PayPal
to file claims and get their funds back..Hassle yes... but necessary..
I feel very badly folks have had to had a bad experience with this company.
MY gut has told me too steer clear NO MATTER what the price..
I will speak for myself of course.
I am hoping Dan the owner of UBER has been reaching out to the folks that have been taken advantage of
and at the very least gave an explanation..
Things will eventually come out in the wash..They always do in this small tight nit community
I wish all the best..

I still can't really figure out what happened, but I jumped around reading the nonsense in the other threads.

In any case, I feel bad for those that have been impacted by this. As I see it, we all work very hard for our money, anyone taking it should work equally hard.

They took my knife back with a prepaid shipping label and stole it. I've had to file a paypal claim to hopefully get my $624 back. Never again, and I don't care what his excuse is about being robbed or whatever.

A. Be more responsible with your inventory and who you surround yourself with, if you want me to trust you with my hard earned money.

B. I don't spend money with sellers who don't have the financial wherewithal to stand behind what they're selling.

The silly E40 nonsense should've been my first clue, but I saw good deals and got drawn to the flame like a moth.

If by "legit", you mean an actual business with paid employees and the financial ability to provide customers with a refund when needed, apparently they are not. It sounds to be a poorly funded home/internet based business...who apparently doesn't have the finances to stand behind the product they sell.

In hindsight, I apologize for forwarding you the discount emailer from Uber.

If Uberknives does nothing to either explain what is going on, or make contact with people they have an outstanding issue with we won't be able to have them on here.

Done--and Done..
The OWNER is responsible for the EMPLOYEES actions.
THIEF or not--The OWNER needs to make things right..
This is NOT how Dealers--Treat people in our community..!!!!!!!!

This makes a whole lotta sense.

They would not be a very good representative of BF and what this forum I am sure expects from the dealers listed here.

Just too bad things had to go in this direction.

:thumbup::thumbup:

You'd thing, that if they (Uberknives owner), truly cared about their future, that they would have been all over this thread, doing everything necessary to put this 10 alarm fire, out!

Absolutely crazy situation (going back to those zany/vulgar thread's that Uberknives/Lee was posting...to now, this!

Hopefully somebody (whoever is the owner), will step in ASAP, & correct all of these unethical dealings.

Edward Keating and Dan Lee are pointing fingers at each other, yet neither steps up to take responsibility for wrongs inflicted on their customers.
I told them both I would let them work it out and hoped one of them would step up and take care of those like myself that were owed money. It hasn't happened.
Tomorrow I will start a new thread with links to communications and promises, accusations and claims by both parties.
It's not pretty, but I live here in Atlanta and Blade is coming to town. I will make sure Uberknives is a point of discussion with every manufacturer that gave them access to their product. Uberknives' business practices is an embarrassment to any manufacturer affiliated with them.

Well, that is all I needed. Today was their last day of a week given to start making things right. No action, no communication, no more forums for Uberknives.
