Fair point. My apologies.Guys, how about instead of making a farce of the situation, try to treat the matter like it was your own. Or go to Whine & Cheese to play games.
Fair point. My apologies.
I'm willing to do more than treat it like my own.
OP, if you don't get a satisfactory resolution from the seller I would be more than willing to purchase the knife from you at your original purchase price. I'm an intrigued by the action on this knife and would like to experience it.
Feel free to PM me
A very good point. This is NOT an opinion regarding the OP's situation. This is a comment about the common misconception that "a deal is not a deal until both sides are happy" is a rule. It is not a rule on Blade Forums. And just to be sure, I reread ALL the BF rules again before posting.
Again, this is not a comment or my opinion on how the OP's situation should be handled. This is not my opinion about whether or not "a deal is not a deal until both sides are happy" is right or wrong. It's just stating the fact that this is not a rule.

Thank you for the heads up!I immediately contacted sickwitt, explained my problem and asked to return the knife for a refund- Compensating him for any cost incurred.
He refused. No Refunds. Not mentioned in the For Sale Listing.
“Just because you don't know how to open a knife is not my fault. No refunds.”
I’ve had transactions here before that didn’t work out but we were able to resolve the issue amicably to both parties satisfaction.
How would using PayPal G&S change this scenario? He paid for the knife and received the knife. Maybe he didn't like the action once he received it, but did he really get ripped off?PAYPAL FRIENDS & FAMILY ONLY: When are the foolish idiots here ever going to learn? The advent of the internet has made the scammer's job, (ripping off foolish dumb people) just so damn easy.

Theoretically as product recieved not as described/not satisfied. I don't know if it was or was not, but that would be how it would need to be filed-I believe. How would using PayPal G&S change this scenario? He paid for the knife and received the knife. I'm sure PayPal is just refunding everyone these days![]()
I don't see a basis for making that presumption. Why not presume he bought in good faith and attempted to return in good faith when he found that it was not something he could manipulate?Seems like the buyer was/is tire kicking. The exchange is NOT the place to “buy and try”. Go to an actual dealer if you just want to try out the action and return it. “Action is amazing” is extremely subjective, as previously mentioned. If spydie flicking a knife is a prerequisite, I’d recommend only buying Spydies.
While I 100% with this as a general statement, in this specific situation and transaction, I think that the negative feedback from both parties is warranted.I don't see a basis for making that presumption. I find it somewhat surprising how quickly some folks are willing to disregard and turn on their fellow members.
Well, I'm not surprised by such when it comes from members whose only interest on this site is selling. (They know who they are.)

This thread has helped bring light to the seller's view on refunds. It has also shown that the buyer has certain requirements for keeping a knife that others may not. Each is helpful for members when conducting further transactions.
While the seller has not commented in this thread it should be noted that the OP has been active this morning and has not taken me up on my offer either.
Food for thought
Or he thinks the knife is faulty and should not pass it on.While I've wondered why the OP hasn't responded further in the thread and specifically to your offer, I'm trying to understand what conclusion or inference can be drawn from his not (yet) having taken you up on your offer.
That he is content with the knife and is going to keep it?
That he is in contact and negotiating with the seller?
I can see no benefit to him in keeping the knife and not taking your offer unless he wants it...or...can sell it for more than he has in it if it isn't being returned.
Maybe I'm just missing something here. he does not think he
If that's the case, that should have been made more clear, imho. But I guess it still remains a possibility. Thanks for mentioning it.Or he thinks the knife is faulty and should not pass it on.
Regardless he should address the offer one way or another.
