United Cutlery's new offer.....anyone?

Anyone else have experience with these new United knives?

After a page and a half of responses, it appears that no, nobody here has any experience with these new United knives. Nor anything actually constructive to say.

I'll put my money where my mouth is.

Ordered a black-coated blade version, I'll post my thoughts when I actually have experience.

What's not to love? It's got three lanyard holes so you can hang three death's head danglebobs on it!!

3?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!? My god thats like going to 11! Maybe i should rethink this, because the very first thing i look for in a knife is how many deaths head dangly bobs i can hang from it. If there was a knife that i could hang 4 deathheads dangly bobs on....id own 2 so i could have 8 thats right 8!!! death heads dangly bobs

And yes the above is sarcasm lol

Wow.
If this UC folder is your bag, get one. For the price-point, this looks like a fine folder.
I have a Tuco from Mikkel. His work is outstanding. Like a Hartsfield knife, you will love his work or you wont.

Those'd have to be some pretty small dangly-bobs considering the size of the holes. Maybe designed for micro-dangly-bobs threaded on with fishing line? Pretty sure my current collection of paracord dangly-bobs aren't compatible with those holes.

BOOO, its either fullsize dangly bobs or no dangly bobs! lol

It's not a bad knife for the $15-$25 you can pay for it. The blade is obviously not very practical for daily use but I think most of us figured that out. The framelock is well enough but there is a part of it that is paper thin, so I would imagine that this may not take a whole lot of abuse.(This is just me speculating) The blade needed a bit of sharpening after I got it, but took to an edge quickly. Overall, if you want the slight tacticool of it, get it.

Whether you find this design ugly or attractive is a matter of personal taste, so I'll give my opinion based on the knife's construction.

Also, UC doesn't "make" this knife, it's a contract knife, and judging by the excellent F&F it's probably being made by one of the contractors that makes knives for other well known knife companies.

I paid $29 shipped for this one and IMO it's a bargain. My only complaint is the thickness of the frame. It's narrow and makes fitting your finger into the cutout to release the lock difficult. Also the lock bar tension is a little on the strong side. So releasing the lock is a little hard on the one I've got.

It's also a huge knife, here's a picture it next to a Strider AR.

But it's slim enough to fit nicely in the pocket.
