If there are two sides to the story of why Mr. Eichenseer hasn't delivered I hope Mr. Eichenseer will tell us the other side.

If I were being "badmouthed" unjustly in a public forum I would go to that forum, state my case as rationally and calmly as I could and lastly, do my best to show the customer as well as all the potential customers reading on just how much I value their goodwill towards me and my business.

The last thing I would do is show off my skill with the 4 letter word as was quoted in your post to Keith Montgomery. Surely there must be some truth in your statements as to the character of Mr. Eichenseer as he does have people who speak well of him here. However, to an outside observer (thats me, I've been observing :p ) reading this thread it is hard to believe. On the one hand there is a customer with a valid concern who wants it heard, answered and, hopefully, rectified. On the other hand is a knifemaker- a businessman in that this is his business- who has shown nothing but disregard for an unhappy customer and a mouth my mama would have filled with lye.

It is a bad business practice to publicly alienate even a small portion of your customer base. Its an even worse practice for any "honorable" man to throw the equivalent of an internet tantrum complete with sailors tongue.

So sorry, if Mr. Eichenseer was in the right he should have publicly proven it with his side of the story as well as the requested tracking # info, etc.
 
Mr. Eichenseer doesn't need anyone standing up for him. He doesn't even need to stand up for himself here. All he has to do is complete his end of the deal with a customer who only wants this finished, and behind him.

There is no other forum involved here. There is only this one business deal, a deal in which Mr. Eichenseer has not conducted himself honor.

From the info provided in this thread, it appears to have already worked out quite well for one of the parties involved.
 
jedi_pimp, Kyle's opinion of me doesn't matter any more to me than the opinion of the45guy does. Saying he is an honest man sure doesn't fit with what has gone on in his dealings with Dan. In fact, this deal with Dan has put a great deal of doubt on whether Kyle is honest. Honest people don't take someone's money and then not supply that person with what he paid for.

I base MY opinions on what I'VE SEEN. . . .NOT what others have posted ! ;) And I've seen plenty in this transaction. Enough to substantiate MY OPINION !

On the other hand. . . .if YOU, sak_collector, can PROVE that Kyle has IN FACT shipped Dan the ancillary items. . . .that was agreed upon. . . .and that Dan has received said items. . . .I'll retract my statement. ;)

Huh, sad if something has to be spelled out for you when it is painfully obvious.

My meaning is that this deal has worked out very well for Kyle. He got money, materials and had to do no work. That difficult for you to understand? I think you know what you can do with you various smiley faces.

Gents, recall who is the royal bastard here?? Not SAK, not Gig, it's the guest of honor mentioned at the top of this thread some 18-thousand posts ago.

Any idea when Dan gets his damascus slivers back? How about Kyle his dignity or balls? Maybe even his reputation as an honest guy?

Even better, how about Kyle just post up some sort of tracking number for the slivers and we can all go home? Then we could all stop worrying about Dan, Kyle and the rest of this sad little tale.
