They are scissors that are sold as a dagger lol...I'm actually kinda surprised that there isn't some uber tactical version of these out there yet.:D

Cool. I'd read that before but had forgotten it.

I'm not sure how good that design would actually be in the real world, but it does look cool as hell. Maybe United Cutlery makes decent stuff but I don't think I could take myself seriously carrying a "movie reproduction knife" anyway. But I think United Cutlery stuff is a bit better than the average "movie reproduction" crap out there.

Hell - who am I kidding? I don't take myself seriously anyway!
Seriousness is seriously overrated. I picked up one of those Hibben Rambo blades for under 40 bucks. It's a huge chunk of 1095 as I recall, and the heat treat isn't bad. It is going to be be a fun craft project. I intend to grind it down some and put a real handle on it some day, because the wrap is super awful. Someday....maybe when the kids are in college and I have more time. I have a Kabar Swabbie on the mod block too. And a Zomstro, though that one is mostly done. How can anyone resist a chunk of good steel for cheap?

Safe Queens are not useless, they fulfill the most essential uses a knife can have for a collector.... Make you Happy :) !!!

I didn't say safe queens are useless. I said they are useless knives. Their usefulness is certainly not as tools.

A safe queen is an ornament. Not a tool.
I know we've done ugly. Let's see knives that won't function properly as a knife. I'll kick it off...

Does a safe queen meet the criterion of the OP? Will it not function properly as a knife?
I don't believe time spent in a safe effects the knife's potential.

To the person keeping it in the safe, sure ou can make the argument but that’s really the persons fault, not the knife . Might be a perfectly useable tool in another persons hands .

He was just making a silly point. In truth though if that knife sitting in pristine condition as a piece of art is makes the owner happy then that is its use. This is supposed to be a lighthearted thread anyway.
