Vampire Gerbil Donation information

As some of you may know Dave had a onging SNAFU with his PC which blocked him from using access to the paypal account.

I suggested the 888 number to see if he could get a check cut. So, that didn't seem to work either. Dave's finally figured it out... Have me access his account from my PC & send his funds! So he finally got it.

He was very surprised from the response. He is very thankful for all the good will. He also told me about a new small dressed sebenza that was generously donated. He loves it & its his favorite EDC.

Dave wanted to thank you all. He hopes to get back & thank everyone personally once he is able.

PS now that we have the PC problem corrected feel free to use Paypal if you prefer it. I'll continue to forward all to his bank.
 
Glad to hear you were able to help him get the money, and glad to hear he's doing better. Definitely hope to see him back on here soon. Thanks for your continued help on this Frank.

On another thread it was mentioned that David was moving...please keep us updated on his address. There's a few items I'd like to send him. Not much, but something.

I too look foward to the day when his gerbilness graces us with his presence. :cool:
 
I spoke to VG on Sat. and he seems to be as well as can be expected. Still in pain with his shoulder and his PT hasn't shown up.

He is overwhelmed by the generousity that the people her have shown him. He's trying to get on disability to help him get by.

Folks it's till going to be a long haul back for him, so keep him in your thoughts.

If anyone has an old computer their not using I think I know somebody that could use it. ;)

I would kick in another twenty or so on top of what I've already sent. if someone wants to set up a "computer fund" heck whats a dell now 420.00 shipped? I'd imagine his monitor works so maybe less...?
 
Does Dave still need a computer? I can locate an older working pentium if needed...................................
 
Care packages are always a pick up too. I think I will send a few things Dave would enjoy and could use. Even basic stuff is a big help, too. If you don't have spend money on toothpaste, soap, etc., you can pay the rent or buy food. I will try to get something together. It is funny, locally I don't have that many friends I can count on but through the years I have always thought, if I needed help, I could ask you guys. That is a reassuring feeling and here is where I have friends. No where I hang my hat. Maybe its me.

I always thought if I could have someone in my corner, the Vamp would be one of the guys. Not sure if he knew that or not.

Greg, I think VG is one of the guys I could count on also. I'd like to think I'm one of the guys you could count on too. If you want to speak to VG drop me an email, I'll be glad to give you his number.

Yes, he is still in need of a PC. I just spoke to him the other day. He called to let me know the Text message to my phone was to the wrong number. "pick up morphine & cheesburgers". Huh???

So, he sounded good anyway. He seems to be improving. A heck of a lot better where he was at not to long ago.

He sent me & Phil a pic a while ago to give us an idea of his handicap...but I think we'll pass on posting that here:)
 
I thought it was time for another "how's yer father" so I am sending VG off a care package today. I want to make sure he knows we aren't forgetting him. Just some videos, DVDs and gun/knife rags....what I call going to the can reading. Anything, no matter how little is big when you're sick and down.

Just sent him as much as I could afford. Got to take care of our own. Righto then.
