Very happy to see a new G10 Grip!!!!

My 556-1 should be coming in today. Ordered it off amazon since I had some giftcards for it and they would ship it prime. I'm glad because I just don't think I could've waited the week or so it takes to get a knife from knife center! It'll be my first grip, I usually carry a 940, but my company put the kabosh on carrying anything over 3". Looking forward to it!
 
Is it blasphemy to immediately pull the knife apart and make custom scales inspired by the grey/blue 556-1 scales?
Either way, that is the plan. I really like the color combo, blade steel and blue standoffs, but I would like it to be somewhat unique and personalized. So off to the shop...
 
Got my mini grip today... #393. Super smooth and good fit and finish. The blade is a tad off center but that is the only thing and isn't even worth a second thought.

I am happy for far!
 
Well, it didn't come in on the 6th... Or the 7... Or the 8th for that matter... Contacted Amazon and they said they got in touch with the post office and they'll have it to me tomorrow. So, here's to hoping the mailbox fairy will be kind to me tomorrow!

Looks good Gary. Blue sold me his. Got it today. This thing is the epitome of perfect. Not one thing I can complain about. I'll get some pics tomorrow. Don't hold me to that though!

I just got the 556bk-1 today and I am impressed. It's hands down my favorite benchmade as of yet. It's perfect in every way. If you're on the fence about ordering one, pull the trigger, you won't regret it.
 
Got a 556-1 off the exchange. Pretty slick and nice color combo. I also manged to get my version of 556-1 scales laid out...

And just to add insult to injury of this flawed assessment, we are going to see these on the secondary market for around $150 or so. That is one hell of a deal for the materials, craftsmanship, and backing of a great company.

What he said. This is a sick blade and I'm more than impressed so far. Just going by my own experience Benchmade has stepped up their qc and the fit and finish and excellent blade grind of my 551-1 is good to see. If one of these can be had or 150$, it's a deal of the century.
 
Just got mine in today! 556-1 #34 First Run. I like the weight and feel of it so far, I'll polish up the washers and give it some blue lube tomorrow at work. The colors really seem to look better in person than in pictures.
 
Got my full size yesterday...Im a multiple Grip owner and I really like this version. The steel is new to me so I look forward getting familiar with it.

The black deep stock clip is nice but I really like my Gavin Hawk Titanium clip. Deep carry isnt important to me. This clip ticks a few boxes for me, looks, function and materials:cool::thumbup:

I ordered a 551-1 today and it has shipped. This thread made me realize that a 550-1 version will be available shortly...crap! I do like the sheepsfoot blade with the hole vs the thumbstud. Maybe I will like it and can live with it...
 
I would love a XL Griptilian. Love the knife, but in a "tactical" role, or "hard use" I find it a little small which is when I use a competitors knife which is larger and heavier =/
